I worked with Mark during a summer in Portland and he was so big that I could barely get my arms around him during a love duet - and it probably did look funny to the audience. With an incredible voice such as his, I'm happy to see him able to expand his repertoire and be considered a major talent. Plus, he has a wicked sense of humor that brought so much fun to our work....good times. Congrats Mark!!

It's so funny that the narrator says "the stereotype of the fat singer is closely disappearing". There have never been so many morbidly obese singers. Fat singers were quite rare before 1960. There were some chunky ones but they were the exception. And it doesn't help that teachers tell 200 pound men they are too small!!!

I'm glad he lost the weight. Kudos!

I hope he doesn't push his voice. (I say that about everyone)

However he must improve the ring in his voice (more power, less effort).
