Shouldn't the maximum grip length be set based on the size of the individual? A power lifter (even if they're not professional) who is 6'6" and has a wingspan at least that size needs a wider grip to have similar chest:tricep leverage as someone who is only 6 feet or smaller.

@zkyggen there is a maximum grip width that is legally allowed in competitions.

@zkyggen their hands are outside the ring on the bar...therefore, illegal...but great for increasing chest strength.
