Dude, you gripes with this game are completely invalid. You said that Gordon is completely absent from the game. That's not true. There's an entire cutscene in Arkham asylum where Batman talks to him. Second, you said Batman blows up the Batmobile. No, when Batman says "blow it up" he means the bridge. He used the missiles to blow up the bridge, it was on autopilot. And stealth attacks were awesome, no matter how many times you do them.

I think they should make another game based off the first movie. Have all the aspects of Arkham City but do it to where if you have to save somebody, you have to calibrate the weight cable like you saw in the movie. And you can use voice commands to use the batmobile and its weapons. And drive the Batwing!!!

For all who don't know, the very first Batman incarnation killed people. Then after a few years, they changed it. I wish they took the costume from Tim Burton's first movie and added it into the comics. At least for a while. No offense but wearing blue wouldn't scare anybody.

A Burton style costume was in use for Batman during and before the No man's land and Legacy series. Before Jim Lee redesigned the Bat suit removing the Bat symbol on his chest. The costume was all black with an a dark yellow ensigna and I think the belt was black too.

It gave the suit a little more detail in the muscles and the overall suit. I wish in the other Batman games you could choose that costume. I wish you could in Arkham Asylum or the new one coming out

@kNIGHTWING01 Actually it was called the "Troika" suit and has lasted since Batman Returns untill No man's land like you said. Only the bat symbol and the belt were colorful. The suit was black/grey and the rest was dark blue.

actually batman wasnt supposed to be dark, he was originally as colourful and spandexy as all other heroes in the 60s, he was completely redesigned in the 80s

No he was a dark character and designed that way during his creation in 1939. By the 1970's his stories become more dark and that continues to this day. The campy period of Batman last from the late 50's to 1968 in the comics. But thanks to the Adam west Batman show, on Tv Batman remained campy and light until 1992 with the birth of BTAS (Batman the animated series)

But technically, as far as the comics go, Jim Starlin, with "Death in the Family", was the catalyst for Batman becoming "dark and gothic" again. WIth the help of Denny O'Neil, Alan Moore and Frank Miller's work in the mid-to-late 80s.

Most of BTAS story adaptions came from the 1970s & 80s Batman comics. The Ra's arc in the 70s was very dark. Most of the Batman comics didn't feature Robin in the 70s either. He was off in college. Which is portrayed very will in the Animated series seasons 1-3. Though during the 70s to mid 80s Batman stories weren't doing as well commercially as the Teen Titans or the Uncanny X-Men. Atleast not until Batman Year one, Dark Knight Returns and Death in the family.

actually the Dark Knight game was in development, the game was canceled abruptly when Heath died in Jan of 2008. DK marked the first time a live action Batman film did not receive a videogame. The game was being done by Warner Interactive and a well known studio. Gary Oldman talked with MTV about the game, after he did his voice over in Dec of 2007.

I actually disaggree with this rating, just for the simple fact that the Arkham Series, although made by a different developer, took alot of its ques from this game. The "Predator" aspect, Fear changing A.I. gameplay, the Cape glide, I mean if it werent for this, there would be no Arkham City. I've always loved this game, and would always play it mulitple times in one day. In my review Im giving it a solid 8.

The area of fear, the heart rate monitor, utilizing your enviorment to drasticlly change Enemy A.I. all of that, was used to a greater degree in the Arkham Series...Simply put, if there was no Begins, and if there was no game based on the movie, there would be no Arkham City. FACT.

It's funny. I have only a ps2. I might be getting a next gen console on christmas, but for most of my life Ive had a ps2. I've been way behind for a while and i just really wished I could get a Batman game for ps2. For a while I thought there was no other newer Batman game. Then I was on vacation and I went to gamestop. I saw this game on a little ps2 shelf. I didn't want to buy a bad game. So i watched this review and others when i got back. Then earlier i bought it on this on Ebay.
