Wow, blasting horn at no one?

No one in your lanes, green signal, and still annoying everyone with the siren?

Have a mishap with "Spaz" sound, be prepared to get sued for "no recognizable siren".

We would have been considerate and have accompished this trip with much less siren. Also would have tapped vehicle horn. Electronic air horn is a worthless, rude gimmick.

Dude AMR is and okay company i work for it in Cali...to many shootings i get sent to and traffic is worse were always getting hit by other drivers because they do not pay attention!!

I have a quick question: What are the white lights on the sides of ambulances for? The red lights are always flashing, but the white lights stay off. I've only seen them on once, and that's when I saw an ambulance unloading at an ED.

Anybody out there know?

They are our "Scene Lights." Think of them like headlights on the sides of the ambulances. If we pull up to a scene and need lights to the side of the ambulance then that is what they are for. You will also notice that they turn on when the side door is open for safety reasons. And you will also notice that on the back of the ambulances are white lights that serve the same purpose.
