Great song. you should do one for Croatia where the people of Vukovar actualy fought for their freedom out numbered 10 - 1 and more. not like the U.S. "fighting for freedom" when all they care about is invading countries and steeling oil. which explains their lack of interest in former Yugoslavia.
soldiers practically have no say in what theyre told to do, they pretty much signed thier soul to the goventment by joining the army. whatever the government tells them to do, they do, or theyre arrested, court martial'd, imprisoned, sometimes even shot, during wars for disobeying direct orders. So if the government tells them to destroy a town, city, and they do, its not cus they wanted to, its cus they were FORCED to. They have no other choice.
I truly hope you don't mean that, that's an extremist view, the soldiers arn't responsible for what our government and the corporations behind them tell them to do. I do not ask that you support the war and ESPECIALLY not that I ask you to support the government but to PLEASE support the men and women who have to protect the innocents over there. Because believe it or not George Bush has said one thing that's true there ARE people that want to hurt our country and us and we DO need protection.
@experimentseventeen mmmm first of all, Bush is a terrorist, and second, i do believe that soldiers have a brain. Why would you destroy something of you know is wrong to do it? Brain-wash !
@Sebi2109 Actually, Saddam was responsible for that when he destroyed the canals, kept the population under his thumb, gassed the kurds, and was generally trying to follow Hitlers footsteps. Hopefully you've learned that in the last 2 years.
i hope you dont think that all of us americans want our troops to be there! Most Americans do NOT agree with this war anymore, I for one never did. Most of the troops over there dont have much of a choice. Some are just getting paid. I stand behind our troops, but not behind the "cause" for this war nor my politicians. Please dont believe that us americans all want to be there because we dont. We just want our troops back.
Since Nam - grunts would choose AKs over M16 due to the reliability of the former. Somewhat unprecise, especially when firing bursts, but VERY resilient to dust, mud & water. The Russian ones, not Chinese copies ;)
@jasonshahjahan In Iraq there was some sporty times. I was not there personally but my superiors have told plenty of stories of guys having to improvise on the weaponry. Shit was wild. Taliban would take SAWs and stuff from guys killed clearing rooms and fire on Marines with their own weapons in Fallujah.
I am trying to see I am trying to believe This is not where I should be I am trying to believe Blood hardens in the sand Cold metal in my hand Hope you understand the way that things are gonna be There's nowhere left to hide 'Cause God is on our side I keep telling myself I am trying to see I am trying to believe This is not where I should be I am trying to believe
Gunfire in the street Where we used to meet Echoes at a beat And the bass goes "bomb" Right over my head Step over the dead Remember what you said You know the part about life Is just a waking dream Well I know what you mean But that ain't how it seems right here, right now How can this be real? I can barely feel Anymore
I really hope you dont think that most of us want our soldiers to be there - and I also hope you dont think that most of the soldiers have the opportunity to leave if they want to. Its a paycheck, gotta love America. But, it is NOT the soldiers who are there out of their own free will. Get educated.
Not out there of their own free will????? Um...note to ANYONE who wants to join the military: If you have a problem with being deployed and going to war...you need not join. YES...we are all out here at our places of duty on our OWN FREE WILL...we SIGNED that paper bottom line...I did on September 11th 2006, and so did millions of other US servicemen throughout the course of the history of the volunteer military.
Do some of us not like where we are? Of course. Do some of us regret our choices to join. Absolutely. HOWEVER COMMA, we, or at least I...knew what the military is about, and joined knowing full well what ultimate sacrifice could mean.
The military is a business...it's trade is killing the enemy, and protecting liberty...if anyone who joins the military cannot see that, they are fools, and will find out soon enough, but bottom line: we were sent there by a higher power, however, it is the military, and that is what the military does: fights wars.
Thanks alot guys I worked really hard on it. Please do keep the comments coming and view some of my other videos ^^ And by the way dispite what some may get from this video, I mean no disrespect to our boys and girls in Iraq.
