my Schipperke was born with a tail wouldn't change a thing about him his name was buddy we adopted him when he was 3 he was my first birthday gift when i was adopted as well he died yesterday after being stubborn to live a very long life a tumor killed him he helped me pick up girls when i was a teen he hunted squirls for me on command he fished with me stayed by my side every night and chased off annoying little loud kids i didnt like ,BUDDY REST IN PEACE
When we went to the Schipperke Nationals in 2002, there were 500 or so Schipperkes there, and the agility course was a treat, what would take a Russel 90 seconds, took a Schip about 5 minutes, there were people to see, leaves to chase, other Schips to meet, sniff. A scream and among the best moments of our lives.
@AA781228 some schipperkes are born tail-less, most of them aren't though. Still, most breeders cut the tails out when the puppy is only days old, it's kind of a tradition in the breed.
haha... I used to have a schipperke. They are so much fun, but are really crazy dogs. I tried to get her tired by throwing a toy up and down the stairs. It never worked!
Love the tail. I always thought my "Morgan" would love agility.....was afraid he'd run away though. He is doing better now that he is 7 and goes to a dog park :)
