Hard to believe that this song is almost forty years old. Yet it could have been written yesterday... The lyrics are clever, ironic and as relevant today as they ever were. And the song has a bridge and a middle-eight to die for... Gouldman and Stewart were craftsmen.
I like to listen to this track as I get prepared for the trading day ahead..I "heart" Wall Street... "OWS" get a life and go home please..that is if u still have one to go to and let us get back to business..please! please just go!
i dedicate this song to all the bankers, developers, politictians and gorvenment officials who have screwed our countries, and now we are on our knees they want us to pay!!
Yep... relevant today... people you all gott share the news on your social media networks... the mainstream news are NOT reporting the occupation of Wall Street!! GET THE INFO OUT THERE!!! The US government are as bad as the Yemeni government how long before they are using lilve rounds in New York - ON THEIR OWN CITIZENS!
Back in January 2008, I warned my friends in NYC: "There's a storm coming your way -- the market will take a header -- a serious one!" Yeah, I DID see it coming.
This song is so Paul McCarthyish of that '75 period, that I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of his melodies unused or sold to them. The piano and drums solos are McC, even with a hint of the Beatles.
fortunately, the debt created by fraud by the House of Rothschild is not owed to them. the "Federal" Reserve is not federal and has no reserves but is a parasite on all humanity.
Yes, and what to do? Well, if more people spoke up when they encountered bigotry, racism, exploitation, or any other kind of treatment they wouldn't want to endure themselves, then maybe we start to move forward a little. I'm not so naive as to think posting on a social media site will change the world but I know if you let lazy stereotypes go they grow. I'm not Jewish, I have no love for Israel, but I have even less love for bigotry and intolerance. A happy new year to you:)

Great song. Always thought they got Paul in to sing "Oh, Howard Hughes, Did your money make you better?........." That bit sounds like a parody of a Beatles song but I can't work out which one. Also 10cc have one of the more interesting group names, the meaning of which I would like to explain ~ but this is a family audience!

yeah screw the thieves of socialism, screw these lazy bums. They are the one who are jealous and want to steal from the rich, the rich who have worked and studied hard for it.
Socialism have never worked, responsible for millions and millions of death, murdered by their stupid satanic leaders. Socialism drive dozens of country's to bankruptcy.
Again screw socialism.
Capitalism all the way baby, it was the only thing that had made us rich. (and God blessings)
@Patrickthedutch I agree there is a sea of money for ANYONE who wants it badly enough. But dont expect to be able to "Buy happiness" Some of the most miserable bastards I have ever met have been millionaires. About Wall-street look at Michael Douglas now. He has got more money that you could ever imagine,But has stage 4 cancer. MAJOR BUMMER. There are indeed some things that money CAN NOT buy. I am just letting you know..Money is nice BUT Money is NOT the be all and end all of life.
...and they PAY guys from the middle east to hit Europe and America from time to time...to get their controle slave grit into place...and guess what...you are their slave !!
...51 seconds into the song he says "Rotschild"...the year is 1982...anyone still doubting who creates our "crisis". in 2010...???? 9/11 was an inside (outside...because the Rotschild bankers who own the FED live in the UK) job !!!
You gotta love these literal representations of lyrics - reminds me of Pan's People's interpretive dancing, like "Daddy was a Bankrobber" when they were all dressed as prisoners with arrow suits
saying your young doesnt make you cool for listen to old music its what you parents bring you up with most likely your dad still listens to the happy great oldies :) but saying you 14 15 12 no one really cares i can say im 16 and listen to 40's music which is what i did at 16 oooo wow so cool not really age doesnt matter music taste does AND ROCK WILL NEVER DIE
A notable early 70's Art Rock song: The Wall Street Shuffle - 10cc [Stockport, England] - 1974 - "AMG Pick. A nice Art Rock song with keyboards. Good first impression with the early 70's Rock vocals, and the back-up vocals are sublime. Excellent guitar riffs/drumwork." - The Best Of The Early Years [Import UK]. NOTE: The above CD is very good. Check it out!
I remember this song playing the summer I had a job picking strawberries so it must have been in the seventies. The rotten strawberries were used as ammo against other pickers resulting in T-shirts that had been white in the morning but were red returning to our tents with the transistor radio.
I had the opportunity to see these boys in the late 70's. They opened with the WS Shuffle. This was the finest of 500+ concerts I've seen in my lifetime exceeding Pink Floyd, Bowie, Queen, Santana, Edgar & Johnny Winters together, Rod Stewart and the Faces - all at their peak. I often wondered if it had anything to do with the LSD25 we shared with their roadies prior to the show. They were backed up by Garfield, a phenomenal band. Check out their classic 'Eyes'.
i love 10cc! this is the last band my dad and me did go to. he died a year ago at the first day of spring. and at that time i was just a boy of 9! my sister whas then just 7. :-(
Goldman Sachs trial hit the news the last couple of days, makes one wonder why the U.S. government bothered to bail out the financial sector when it's obvious to even the dullest of wits that it's filled with corrupt dirtbags. Love this song though, really captures the mood.
What do think has been going on, this seventy"s group had it sussed and yeh guess what there english, kill the in bread raiths that will tear our world into shreds, YOU KNOW IT!, Husky!.
@kongbenne As I was listening to this song while picking strawberries on Funen in 1974 I figur they'll be pretty old in September 2010. I wouldn't want to destroy my good memories of them by watching some senior citizens on stage. Just my opinion.
proper music!

@kongbenne As I was listening to this song while picking strawberries on Funen in 1974 I figur they'll be pretty old in September 2010. I wouldn't want to destroy my good memories of them by watching some senior citizens on stage. Just my opinion.
