  • proper music!

  • Hard to believe that this song is almost forty years old. Yet it could have been written yesterday... The lyrics are clever, ironic and as relevant today as they ever were. And the song has a bridge and a middle-eight to die for... Gouldman and Stewart were craftsmen.

  • Yes, I'm showing my age, but I remember this song very well.

  • as a trader for ten years - it rings true. no prisoners taken.....

  • Pièce magistrale. Bon vidéo aussi

  • song of the decade

  • My God that is one hell of a song........Great melody, smart lyrics.

  • one of my favourite bands great songs

  • 0:45 is classic

  • old school, and i like it!

  • I've never found Deceptive Bends available for download.

  • It reminds me of years ago

  • Should be the OCCUPY theme song.

Hell, it's just one of the best songs ever.

  • @BluntRapture you can OCCUPY deez nuts

  • I like to listen to this track as I get prepared for the trading day ahead..I "heart" Wall Street... "OWS" get a life and go home please..that is if u still have one to go to and let us get back to business..please! please just go!

  • @MrCisco940 Get back to the business of ripping off the American public.

Wall Street is the reason many of the people you disdain don't have homes.

I'm a former broker, so I know what the game is.

  • i dedicate this song to all the bankers, developers, politictians and gorvenment officials who have screwed our countries, and now we are on our knees they want us to pay!!

  • The video is diabolical. Images for the deaf

  • OCCUPY WALL ST!!! WE ARE THE 99% to the 1% this is only the beginning of your end!

  • @TheInsurrectionIsNOW get a job

  • @bagnumberthree What jobs?

  • @TheInsurrectionIsNOW

    This is the beginning!

  • this will always be topical.. it's about money ffs..

  • Why can't I stop listening this song?

    Just perfect!!!

  • Yep... relevant today... people you all gott share the news on your social media networks... the mainstream news are NOT reporting the occupation of Wall Street!! GET THE INFO OUT THERE!!! The US government are as bad as the Yemeni government how long before they are using lilve rounds in New York - ON THEIR OWN CITIZENS!

  • good song for whats happening now in new york city xD

  • Back in January 2008, I warned my friends in NYC: "There's a storm coming your way -- the market will take a header -- a serious one!" Yeah, I DID see it coming.

  • very appropriate for what's happening now

  • great group.....really good song. but then they all were.. love 10 cc.. yours graham and lol.... lol

  • Is that the last known photo of Horward Hughes ?

  • The FTSE 100's 5222. Should I buy stocks now?

  • ther song donna on the other hand was a blatant copy of the beatles oh darling

  • ,bet youd sell your mother, how true

  • the words arent paulish him writting songs condeming global capatalisum are definatly not him

  • This song is so Paul McCarthyish of that '75 period, that I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of his melodies unused or sold to them. The piano and drums solos are McC, even with a hint of the Beatles.

  • fortunately, the debt created by fraud by the House of Rothschild is not owed to them. the "Federal" Reserve is not federal and has no reserves but is a parasite on all humanity.

  • Goldman Scum

  • And the money men are still screwing us:(

  • Frumpy.

  • All cum crumblin down round dem now...END of it SOON.Wot goes around Comes around!!!!!

More relevant now than EVER.....RAAAAAS Tafar I

  • i remember groovin to 10cc and leo sayer back then

  • Your a tube then.!

  • I love 10cc but I had absolutely no idea this was their song..

  • The sad thing? More relevant than ever.

  • Jews singing about money, I dont believe i!

  • @StillRickyVilla

Nice divisive comment. The reason this world is such a mess is down to attitudes like that.

  • @tonupnolid

It's not an attitude you dofuss asshole, It's a fact !

  • @tonupnolid No offence, but you know the world has always been a mess?

  • @j90h

Yes, and what to do? Well, if more people spoke up when they encountered bigotry, racism, exploitation, or any other kind of treatment they wouldn't want to endure themselves, then maybe we start to move forward a little. I'm not so naive as to think posting on a social media site will change the world but I know if you let lazy stereotypes go they grow. I'm not Jewish, I have no love for Israel, but I have even less love for bigotry and intolerance. A happy new year to you:)

  • biggots making offensive comments, I so believe it !!

  • @StillRickyVilla What the hell are you talking about?

  • @finylvinyl66 He is making a pathetic, cheap, anti-semite comment because 3 of the band were Jewish.

  • @Misty33Blue I've known this song since the Seventies and not once picked up

on any anti-semitic sentiments expressed. And if 3 of the band members are

Jewish, why would they want to make any?

  • @finylvinyl66 Its not the band making anti-semite comments! Read the thread. Its a reply to somebody else's query. Somebody calling himself StillRickyVilla is the anti-semite. FFS read before you comment.

  • 0:43 epic best part of the song 8)

  • Great to hear this again! Thanks ! : )

  • This is what tuneful melodic music sounds like...fantastic.

  • Great video - subscribe and friend for power packed videos...

  • they got my respect for their kinky style

  • Great song. Always thought they got Paul in to sing "Oh, Howard Hughes, Did your money make you better?........." That bit sounds like a parody of a Beatles song but I can't work out which one. Also 10cc have one of the more interesting group names, the meaning of which I would like to explain ~ but this is a family audience!

  • @SuperNevile i noticed that too , I think your right , lol , I love this light hearted music , it sets you free , without a lot of racket , I never listen to modern music anyway , I like the 50-s thru the 80-s

  • Fuck this song is cool. I remember my father used to listen to it when I was a kid. I remember because it was so strange like no other rock song.

  • i was playing this in my car my dad goes.... wait who is this?! i'm like 10cc. he's like first time i hear this song... how do you know it?! looool i know more songs from his time than he does

  • I grew up with 10CC...these guys ROCK!

  • 15 people can't handle Wall Street

  • I heard this in my music exam:') Got a good beat to it!

  • Anyone else get a Steely Dan vibe from these guys? For Example- Dreadlock Holiday= Haitian Divorce, Wall Street Shuffle= The Royal Scam.

  • I JUST LOVE THIS

  • These guys are good . They have accomplished musicians .

This is a good song . Dreadlock Holiday my favourite single though. It was used for a Coruba alchohol advertisement .

  • I saw 10cc last tuesday in Holland.

    The were great.

After the show i went to the stage entrance.

And i´m 18 now and i´m on on a photo with Graham Gouldman:D

  • @newyorktown i also did that after a show a few years ago, got a signed poster. i didnt know these guys until my dad took me to the show and i LOVED them, i'm 14 and other people my age should listen to this

  • as I see 10 cc was much better than Queen

  • as I see 10 cc was much better than Queen

  • my dad show me them..like like like !! :)

  • One of my favourite groups. great lyrics,& you can hear every word they sing.

  • 15 people do not have money

  • Great song! And still actual.

  • great tune

  • GUESS THEY SAW IT COMING

  • @hounddogdrifter ha ...you got that right my friend

  • damn great guitar riff.

  • where to download this song?

I want to buy the song out of respect, but the index is low...

  • when your index is lowwwwww #LALALALALA

  • It's highly musical with lovely lyrics making it a lasting and completely (unboring) little number!

  • Oliver Stone should have considered this song for the "Wall Street Movies"!

  • I' m an ex-broker who decided ( right or wrong) to persue my passion and my love, which is being a musician. HOW COULD I NOT LOVE THIS SONG!!!!

  • Brilliant track from a brilliant album.

  • 30 years or so since i heard this

  • Some one please post "You've got a cold" - it's a great, funny tune!

  • haha this is brilliant we had to asses it in music class today

  • I know a few bankers who should be put in Guantanamo Bay and forced listen to this 24/7 at high volume.

  • @stormforce171 RIGHT ON I AGREE

  • @stormforce171 Totally right

  • top tune

  • VERY VERY NICE. THANK YOU. LOVE 10 CC.

  • Great song by a great, unique band. Why are they never mentioned anymore ? Probably cos they didnt kiss the right asses, cos let's face it, thats all it takes in the 21st century.

Creativity in music died years ago and mediocrity rules.

Do you wathy the X factor and other such ? SHAME ON YOU !!!!!!

  • 1.54 so good

  • They turned out one quality song after another in the 70s but are half-forgotten by now. A lot of lesser bands from that time are still more famous. What a pity.

  • Thanks for posting this song!

Listen for great music like this on a new radio station called "OffTheCharts" - featuring 70's (and some 80's) lost hits and chart wonders!

Go to Live365.com, type OFFTHECHARTS in the Search box and click on the station logo. The audio stream should begin. Become a VIP member and listen commercial free!

This song is being featured this week!

  • Warren Zevon obviously liked it since he ripped off the chorus

  • Got zero airplay unless the college station played it......but that was on FM....I'd have to borrow my big Sis's radio to hear that.

  • i saw 10cc a couple of weeks ago in belgium !!! that was an awesome concert :DDD they never changed :))

  • Their lyrics were always so clever.

  • great song love it

  • Who gives a shit how old you are? It's a catchy song.

  • It should be called the BARNEY SHUFFLE

  • WOW!! great

  • yeah screw the thieves of socialism, screw these lazy bums. They are the one who are jealous and want to steal from the rich, the rich who have worked and studied hard for it.

Socialism have never worked, responsible for millions and millions of death, murdered by their stupid satanic leaders. Socialism drive dozens of country's to bankruptcy.

    Again screw socialism.

Capitalism all the way baby, it was the only thing that had made us rich. (and God blessings)

Who not work shall not eat.

    Go WS

  • @Patrickthedutch Not sure if this is sarcastic or not. Also not sure whether or not I want it to be.

  • @Patrickthedutch I agree there is a sea of money for ANYONE who wants it badly enough. But dont expect to be able to "Buy happiness" Some of the most miserable bastards I have ever met have been millionaires. About Wall-street look at Michael Douglas now. He has got more money that you could ever imagine,But has stage 4 cancer. MAJOR BUMMER. There are indeed some things that money CAN NOT buy. I am just letting you know..Money is nice BUT Money is NOT the be all and end all of life.

  • ...and they PAY guys from the middle east to hit Europe and America from time to time...to get their controle slave grit into place...and guess what...you are their slave !!

  • ...51 seconds into the song he says "Rotschild"...the year is 1982...anyone still doubting who creates our "crisis". in 2010...???? 9/11 was an inside (outside...because the Rotschild bankers who own the FED live in the UK) job !!!

  • @Fons1958

my friend, you have no clue how the economy works.

  • Very clever

  • you putted this video on youtube 1 day after my birthday :D

    i'm 11 years old... i love this song :)

  • You gotta love these literal representations of lyrics - reminds me of Pan's People's interpretive dancing, like "Daddy was a Bankrobber" when they were all dressed as prisoners with arrow suits

  • Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan are raping the country.

  • love it .... prophetic!

  • quality tune it sounds ace :)

  • Money? Better sweat for it hard!

Hapiness is never into dollars nor into euros but IN REAL HARD WORK

...which will give you "the former spoken off things".

    To handle with care.

    GET WELL!

    Bernard

  • @labora4best That's what the super rich want you to believe, that way you work harder to make them richer.

  • funny how shit hasn't changed since the 70s... well disco is kinda dead isn't it?

  • funny how shit hasn't changed since the 70s... well disco is kinda dead isn't it?

  • A notable early 70's Art Rock song: The Wall Street Shuffle - 10cc [Stockport, England] - 1974 - "AMG Pick. A nice Art Rock song with keyboards. Good first impression with the early 70's Rock vocals, and the back-up vocals are sublime. Excellent guitar riffs/drumwork." - The Best Of The Early Years [Import UK]. NOTE: The above CD is very good. Check it out!

  • my dad puts this song on all the time when were in the car its stuck in my head im 15 LOL :D

  • sooner or later it was going to happen grred destroyed this country

  • @934johno

hehehe yeah, not only your country, also mine, and probably the whole world..

    at least theres still music;)

  • I remember this song playing the summer I had a job picking strawberries so it must have been in the seventies. The rotten strawberries were used as ammo against other pickers resulting in T-shirts that had been white in the morning but were red returning to our tents with the transistor radio.

  • @ssesf best comment i have seen yet. Personal and real. I really remember the shitty trousers my mum made me wear at this time.Great

  • I had the opportunity to see these boys in the late 70's. They opened with the WS Shuffle. This was the finest of 500+ concerts I've seen in my lifetime exceeding Pink Floyd, Bowie, Queen, Santana, Edgar & Johnny Winters together, Rod Stewart and the Faces - all at their peak. I often wondered if it had anything to do with the LSD25 we shared with their roadies prior to the show. They were backed up by Garfield, a phenomenal band. Check out their classic 'Eyes'.

  • Roll on july 16th. Seeing 10cc ( Grahame Gouldman anyway) in Hampton Middx. There's going to be a party at the local county (pool!!!!) jail.

  • An appropriate song for todays financial climate.

  • Excellent. Loved them then as well as now. Very appropriate as well as timely. Thank you for the post. Cherry man.

  • The British have very good cynicism, and they express true ethics. (Good appropriate pictures, especially the attention to the poor).

Sender: "the neighbours to the east" (NL).

  • ...herlig sang;)

  • Damn, this song is so catchy. I'm 16 and I love it :D

  • i love 10cc! this is the last band my dad and me did go to. he died a year ago at the first day of spring. and at that time i was just a boy of 9! my sister whas then just 7. :-(

  • @teteringseballen I am sorry to hear about your dad, May Peace Be With You.

  • @MasterWitchDoctor thanks

  • Goldman Sachs trial hit the news the last couple of days, makes one wonder why the U.S. government bothered to bail out the financial sector when it's obvious to even the dullest of wits that it's filled with corrupt dirtbags. Love this song though, really captures the mood.

  • What do think has been going on, this seventy"s group had it sussed and yeh guess what there english, kill the in bread raiths that will tear our world into shreds, YOU KNOW IT!, Husky!.

  • @kongbenne As I was listening to this song while picking strawberries on Funen in 1974 I figur they'll be pretty old in September 2010. I wouldn't want to destroy my good memories of them by watching some senior citizens on stage. Just my opinion.

  • 14, love 10cc, and can't get this song outta my head.
