  • you do realise this is high treason - the only crime in the UK still punishable by death. defacing the monarchy's head is high treason, i suggest you don't continue doing this.

  • I need power tools!

  • i made one from a canada 25 cent coin it is silver, i am a coin collecter but this coin was really worn i looked in my coin book the coin was onley worth a little more than face value so i made one it turnd out nicly

  • hey! i'll buy it off you for 51p,.. come on you will have made a profit ;)

  • will a nickel from 1964 work?

  • yes any coin should work but try to stick with non-magnetic ones because they have a content of steal in them which maked them very hard to work with

  • just found out that the old 50p coin is made of Cupronickel which is a alloy of copper 75% and nickel 25% it will make your fingers green.

  • You could get hanged from that, defacing the queens head.

  • i was trying it and when i dremmel it, it doesnt seem to make the hole bigger any tips¿

  • Hi, I used sand paper to make the hole bigger until it was the right size. It takes a long time but it works well.

    Lionel.

  • @HikeyTube how long are we talking about? 1 hrZ? 2 hrs+?

  • @Heltz21 uh i dont sugest doing this in 1 hour because you have to gradually shape the metal untill you are happy

  • Does this work with a regular non silver coin? Will a nickel work

  • Yes it will work, but it's *much* harder! The coin in the video is not silver.

  • look @ the clock turn!

  • kewl, my dad works on the trams in melbourne so i used an old peice of railroad about 20cm long as my anvil and a 20c coin, its still in the making and hasnt turned out brilliant, any tips?

  • Hi,

There are two things to take in account:

    - You need the right coin. I chose an old UK 50p coin and it was hard work. An old 90% silver half dollar is much better suited for this.

    - You need to tap the coin very gently and rotate it constantly. It takes a long time, so it needs patience.

    Good luck!

  • is that a old 50p in the video? because i got a couple of them..

  • thanks mate, the coin only slightly warped and i polished the edges with the steel brush on my dremmel and the rough edges came up looking good, sorta like a turtle shell pattern. im gnna try n make a pinky ring out of an australian silver, 92.5%, shilling next, cya!!! T.

  • nice!

  • hikeytube i used a nail to hammer throgh the nail and used a file to do the reast

  • Good tip. However what was the material of your coin? Mine was a thick 50p coin, not a silver half-dollar, so it was tougher than normal.

My next coin is a proper 1964 half-dollar, so I'll try the nail trick.

  • Vandal!

  • thats cool and all but u should get a vid cam 4 that king of stuff

  • that looks pretty sweet,i should attempt to do this somtime

  • 1st comment! that was an interesting show; how far apart were the pics?

  • Hi, the pics at the end are pretty randomly spread. I had a lot of trouble drilling the centre of the coin because I didn't have the right drill bits, so it took a week.
