romy and michele was awesome! i definitely always watch it when it's on tv even though i own it on vhs, haha. my friend and i can practically recite all the lines!
NO PARTICULAR ORDER : 10* The Saint 9* Gia 8* Girl, Interrupted 7* Labirynth 6* Vanilla Sky 5* Dead Poets Society 4* Velvet Goldmine 3* Highlander 2* Taking Lives 1* Fight Club
My husband has ALWAYS wanted me to watch The Exorcist but i thought it would be boring! I am gonna give it a chance for you and my hubby! LOL! Also, I thought I was the only person in the world who liked Heavenly Creatures!! That movie is soooo creepy and good! (Also I kinda look like Melanie Linsky! Except chubbier and with less homicidal tendecies!)
If you are jusgt watching The Exorcist, it is slow moving at first. Lots of character building for the first hour or so. Then when you know everyone's motivations, THEN the freak outs start.
The first time I saw Melanie was in Ever After. She was my favorite character in the movie. :)
Have you seen Josie and the Pussycats? Alan Cumming makes a reference to Romy and Michelle on there. I was laughing my ass off at it and my friends thought I was retarded lol.
PS: If you like silly movies with retarded humor, you should try Hatchet Face. Its about these groupe of people stuck on a night tour in the bogs of New Orleans with the monster Hatchet Face... my favorite characters are the dumb porno stars.
"I graduated from NYU"
"Oh, you so lie.. EVERYONE knows there is no such school as NYU!"
You look like a blonde version of my mom in this video. Made me all homesick and teary eyed. I think its the eyes; you got this awesome almond shape going on. ^.^
i love romey and michelle highschool reuinion or watever its called...I LOVE IT TOO...funnie..it was soo funyn when your like..it just makes me giggle..lol
You are the best!!!horror movies are my fav!!! my friends get so scared tho. My mom said that in Argentina when the exorcist came out, people were passing out in theaters, my aunt got an anxiety attack and she almost fainted at the spider walking part. I never understood that since the took that part from the movie. But I got to see it not that long ago, yikes!! As a child, I used to go to bed with my cross, just in case ha-ha. Have an awesome weekend:)
I SO thought you were going to say GREASE was your number one, as it is mine and I agreed with a lot of your fav's... But the Exorcist has had a huge impact on me too. Watched it 'religiously' in my teens LOL xx
fabulous sweetie, n i totally adore wizard of oz, wut a beautiful film =] ^_^ awsum list!! (p.s. every1 shud av a small goth girl inside of em ^___^ wud make us all awthum ;D) xx
Oh and I forgot to mention about the eyeshadow. Its a green NIX pencil as a base (See my haul video right beore this video), and then a couple of the greens in my SC 88 palette.
i could not stop laughing when you mentioned Romy & Michelle's High school reunion because when I was thinking of my favorite movies that was the first that came to mind! haha :)
yes i do as well..i think that it was a very controversial movie for its time, it is such a classic i love it. when i was a little girl and would watch it with my grandmother of course i didnt really appreciate it as i did when i grew older..lol but yes a classic
I love the part in Romie & Michelle's High School Reunion where they leave when Christy jokes them & they come up with their sexy outfits & she still try joking them & the one girl who hung out w/them said she like the outfit since she was a fashion designer...& then the part I like is when Christy says "Well,I'm married to (the jock, can't remember his name)" & the designer says "That's right Christy, keep telling yourself that." I flipped out at that part & was like "Damn bitch you got owned".
aww nightmare before christmas, romy and michelle, and death becomes her are just some of my all time...oh man and i laugh at exorcist isnt it hilarious..

Great list! There are a few that I haven't seen in a while, like the Wizard of Oz. My top ones are The Age of Innocence (beautiful book as well) and Finding Nemo:) I love older movies too. Auntie Mame is a favorite and Audrey Hepburn flicks (thanks to my mom). Oh! and Exorcist III scares me every time...I remember seeing this in highschool in the movie theater...I screamed my head off:) Great post, thank you! Need to watch Alien again...it's been a couple of years...
i love romy and michelle too..lol it's hilarious, i love the time after time scene as well, auntie mame, my grandmother and i used to watch, that and imitation of ife have you ever seen that one? oh geez the exorcist scarred me for life when i was about 4 years old. i remember walking into the room while it was on and it was the scene where she is in bed with her eyes rolling up in the air..i ran upstairs and hid under the bed on that one! lol. all great movies though, now i must make one..:]
One of the best parts is when Annie is telling Lora about her funeral and Lora says to her "it never occurred to me that you had any friends" or something super bitchy like that!
Did they have a 70th Anniversary theatrical showing of Wizard of Oz where you're at?
