i believe this is not the correct way to pray for a muslim man.
I have gone to multiple websites and Youtube videos to learn how to properly pray. Each and everyone is different. For example. In this video, after the initial "Allahu Akbar," he says "Bismillahir rahmanir rajim." Some other sources say to say "Subhanaka allahumma wa bi hamdika wa tabara kasmuka wa ta'ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuka," and then "A'udhu billahi minash shatanir rajim," before saying "Bismillahir rahmanir rahim" and then saying Surah 1.
i stopped praying for a long time, i was the most desprate person ever, i was so desprate i went mental, i forgot everything about islam, but hopefully i will become someone else and rebirth :)

hm, i converted from christianity to islam over one year ago,, i know how to pray, but i cant pronounce the last part of the prayer when he says: salam alaikum... and something else... someone please help?? what's he saying?

Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala is the most Forgiving. There are many names of Allah given in the Qur’an. Some of these names are related to His mercy and forgiveness. Astaghfiru-Allah, “I ask forgiveness from Allah” Subhanaka-Allah humma wa bi hamdika wa ash-hadu al la Ilaha illa Anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk, “Glory be to You, Allah, and with You Praise (thanks) and I bear witness that there is no deity but You, I ask Your forgiveness and I return to You (in obedience)”.

@Mansoor01 there are many websites that teach how to perform salat correctly as for verses it takes practice but I would recommend google this to. However, if there is an absence of knowledge for legit reasons then your prayers still counts if you perform to the best of your ability but this does not mean that you can purposely neglect learning about properly performing prayer. So you can take your time learning how to prayer properly through websites.

Don't try to do everything at once if you feel it is overwhelming. I am taking it step by step. God knows what your goal is and as long as you keep your eye on the goal, He will guide you. @Mangosteen08 I recently converted and am trying to learn the entire salat. I have a small pocket sized book that teaches someone the proper salat and I asked the same thing your asking. My book has the prayer before the Al-Fatiha but in this video he doesnt recite it. Im so confused lol!!

@Kh7heaven7 yes it is but this is only the maghib/evening prayer, it is different because it has only three rakaat, there are another four to learn about. Three as almost the same, while one has only two rakaat. hope this helps you.

@memeteora1 Yes but I think the Duas are optional: You say this: Subhannaka Lahumma wa bihamdika wa tabaraka ismuka wa ta'ala jadduka wa laa ilaaha qayruka. But there are many different dua's you can say. Prophet Mohammed PBUH used to vary his prayer a lot. :)

@mustafa83fire Yes, but you MUST always recite Surah Al-Fatiha first. The second Surah is up to you. Surah Ikhlas is highly reccomended though.

@Mansoor01 there are many websites that teach how to perform salat correctly as for verses it takes practice but I would recommend google this to. However, if there is an absence of knowledge for legit reasons then your prayers still counts if you perform to the best of your ability but this does not mean that you can purposely neglect learning about properly performing prayer. So you can take your time learning how to prayer properly through websites.

I would like to know how the Muslim know how many Rakaa to pray each Salaat? I couldnt find the info in Quran and Hadith. My daughter is little curious and I couldnt give her any further info.
She wants to know for example Fajar is two Rakaa Fard and where we get this info. If it is in Hadith could you please provide me the reference?

For those of you who recently converted, first of all congratulations!! Inshallah it will be made easy for you! Second of all, take the religion step by step. Don't try to do everything at once if you feel it is overwhelming. I am taking it step by step. God knows what your goal is and as long as you keep your eye on the goal, He will guide you. @paenitet7nullum lol, prayers you can do a long prayer or short prayer, depend's on what sura of the quran you want to read. people call you a terriost from praying to god, and rembering him, these people have no knowledge.
i pray i take under 5 mins, but i take my time becuase i dont know that much part of the quran, yes it is hard. but everything is hard. haha honnest good to hang with nerds, they must not be the fun people to hang with but they are safe from bad things, i wish i was a nerd

@Mangosteen08 I recently converted and am trying to learn the entire salat. I have a small pocket sized book that teaches someone the proper salat and I asked the same thing your asking. My book has the prayer before the Al-Fatiha but in this video he doesnt recite it. Im so confused lol!!

one time i was playing a game that is a virtual world,and someone asked me what religion i am.i said that i was a muslim.then she said(yup the person is a girl)that there is no god but the one and only jesus.(shes a christian)then,she said that jesus was the one who was hung on the cross to save their sins(christians).than i said that allah is my god.next,she said she didnt belive in FALSE gods!i was offended.but i was patient.she will see that she is wrong one day,insyallah.

@Kh7heaven7 yes it is but this is only the maghib/evening prayer, it is different because it has only three rakaat, there are another four to learn about. Three as almost the same, while one has only two rakaat. hope this helps you.

@memeteora1 Yes but I think the Duas are optional: You say this: Subhannaka Lahumma wa bihamdika wa tabaraka ismuka wa ta'ala jadduka wa laa ilaaha qayruka. But there are many different dua's you can say. Prophet Mohammed PBUH used to vary his prayer a lot. :)
