  • only a dumb yankee ...would cut off gator country early.....

  • One of my favorites

  • he speaks of Alabama. Alabama kicks ass in football!!! But, Southern boy, born in Baltimore! One of my favorites!!! Loves it!

  • (Yes, Tampa is a maelstrom of contradictions and class warfare... If the 'have-nots' were to realize how fragile the world of the country club actually was, this little corner of America would realize untapped potentials.

  • Tampa.

  • I'm from Northern California and I love this shit.

  • @peaches33drms Listen to Hank Jr's 'Country Boy Can Survive" and you'll hear him mention Northern Ca.

  • does this thing cut off at the end for everyone, or just me?

  • @mojobonbon i know, i know - "that's what she said"

  • Lehigh Acres!

  • south central florida

  • This may be true!, but Bama won the National champs this year!!! Rolll Tide Roll!!!!

  • killer tune!!!!!!!

  • from Ohio there is more than beach and expensive resorts in Florida?

  • @moegreen91 Yes. Florida state football, old southern rock, new hardcore, friendly people

  • @moegreen91 get away from the coasts and beaches and you can ee all kinds of wonderful lands. Just a few miles outside of tampa, and you are in beautiful, horse country with endless roads to ride /drive, and parks rivers , ponds , lakes, and more. There's so much to life without going near the water there (salt water any way). ;o)

  • Everyone always associates south Florida with Miami but get away from the coast to the glades and see some rural fla nothing but swamp!!!!! Good stuff!!!!!!!

  • eddie you turned me on to these great tunes,i hope you still indulge in them like i do

  • put on a train to the everglades

  • i listen to this song around this time every year i go to see my family in jacksonville fl. alabama is alright but there is no place like the gator country where i grew up.

  • @bigmoney4635 i grew up on the southside of jax. i live in atlanta now, but i miss it. the smell of coffee makes me homesick.

  • great danny joe brown good voice gator is the name of my cousin son laughs

  • oh you don't mean that because in ALABAMA WE ROLL TIDE ROLL BITGHES!!!!

  • Great Song!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great tune but the end is cut off... chomp chomp

  • now it's beer time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • reminds a lot to the allman bros band and the early country tune steve morse did with dixie dregs...a good one

  • Bama IS a real sweet home. I prefer blue skies over dirty ass swamps. BTW 38-10.

  • Why the hell did this cut out the last part of the track? Was it it the curse of the dreaded "BieberGaga"

  • Why was this track cut short? Oh somebody knocked over the bong, and the water went everywhere.

  • The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot, Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels...love em all. and thats comin from a northerner!

  • fuckin band sucks. skynyrd 4ever!

  • Too short.

  • I'm from Pennsylvania ( I am NOT a city slicker). And I have NEVER heard southern rock. But I have to say it's pretty good compared to the crappy music we have up here. This song is awesome!

  • Just listening to this a tad I could say the alternative to Florida is Louisiana cause hey less city slikers then Florida

  • @hillfolkloki996 Lol theres alot of rural florida, Florida panhandle is alot more rural than Georgia, and Alabama in the north, its very rural in Louisiana standards. Its all pine forest, and swamps here. The biggest city in 400 miles is 180,000. Everything else a town over 1,000 population is huge.

  • @Cjohnsonmyer014

ok i just listened to little bit & jumped the gun, and your right northern Florida ain't like southern Florida

  • @hillfolkloki996 i'm from jax, grew up there and then spent 20 years in tallahassee. you can keep miami.

  • @hillfolkloki996 Sorta not really - cause it's really only south Florida that's over populated. Louisiana would be another excellent choice anyway.

  • @hillfolkloki996 Oh I saw to late you'd already noticed that. Sorry!

  • @kathie1441

    Its all good suga

  • hell yeah, damm i miss this kind of rock- n- roll on the radio like this, bring it down, loving it!!!!!!!

  • Give me a little bit of that "Chomp-Chomp" !

  • DJB era Molly Hatchet WAS Hatchet. Anything else is just make believe. It's what your'e listening to now.The new Hatchet is a joke. I respect the fact that they are carrying on the name........but,c'mon guys,it died with DJB.....

  • I'm from Jacksonville FL and I miss living in FL as this song reminds me of growing up in FL.

  • @unlucky1353 i know. i want a cherry limeaid and a strogonoff lubi. or a camel rider from the sheik on atlantic.

  • I'm proud to be a Florida boy- born n raised, never have lived anywhere else.

  • The ending is cut off...boo!!!

  • You can thank Tommy Joe White for Southern Rock....Black Oak Arkansas introduced it, Skynyrd refined it, and Molly Hatchett rock and rolled it.

  • the SOUTH!!!!!!!!

  • Molly have a beef with Dickey Betts?

  • @thefoppa1000

  • @hoss861 The Outlaws down in Tampa Town it's mighty fine place to be, they got Green grass n High Tidea, and it sure looks good to me!

  • FLORIDA!!!!!!!

  • Love this song!!!

  • 4 people that watch this video don't have good taste in music!!! :)

  • My freshman year arriving at college in 1984 I sat my combo Peavey amp on the dorm room window and played this on 11. I made several friends and enemies within seconds.

  • @Kelavanti / Earlier than 1984 when I went to college, my freshman year my classes ended at 10am on Fridays. I'd get back to my room, put the speakers in the window overlooking the quad and crank up Skynyrd. Some loved it and some not.

  • Not good, repost! This is like an Alfred Hitchcock movie that leaves you hanging. Don't cut a Molly Hatchet short. I love the song but not the short version. This is not AM radio with a mouthy DJ cutting off the song! Go from 120,00 hits to 500,000. Now! Right now!

  • we say grace, we say ma'am

  • And I quote Ed King...."Southern Rock died the day Molly Hatchet came out."

  • @8thEastTexasBlues That's strange. What do you think he meant by that? Molly Hatchet hit the scene around the same time. I''ll take Danny Joe's voice over Ronnie's anyday.

  • @Napco205 it's not hard to figure out if you think about it.

  • @8thEastTexasBlues How dare I, question a quote written from a youtube random! lol.... It's so easy throw names around,.to quote something out of your ass without a source. "And I quote" Danny Joe Brown "Fuck you"!

  • @Napco205 it wasn't a random quote with no source. it was a quote from ed king from skynyrd. august 1998 maximum guitar, pg 21.

calm down,it's nothing to get so bent out of shape over. you take things way too seriously.

  • @8thEastTexasBlues ed king was from so.cal what does he know bout southern rock lol

  • @bisp25 do you really need that explained to you? ed king:guitarist for the SOUTHERN ROCK band lynyrd skynyrd, writer and co writer of songs such as Poison Whiskey, Saturday Night Special, Mr. Banker, Swamp Music, Whiskey Rock-a-Roller, Railroad Song, I Need You, and Workin' For MCA

  • What kind of noise is that Wisztrock

  • This song rocks. One of the best from the south. If you want to hear some new Southern Rock 2010 click on Wisztrock.

  • Reminds me of drivin' and road trippin' throughout the south......

  • The best Southern rock band overall. Really gets you moving and stays within the confines of rock. If you want to hear some new original Southern Rock click on Wisztrock.

  • I had teh priveledge of meeting Danny Joe Brown after a concert-he was teh kindest, nicest guy and not some stuck up "rock star".I seen him with my mom at the Dugout in bensalem,Pa I think back in 1993-4,and all I could say to him when I met him was "wow your so much bigger than you looked on teh album cover",LOL.Shame he is gone but God bless him for all teh good music and voacals he gave us.

  • Most Southern Rock Bands songs are performed in the Key of G. Its basically G - C - D /D- C- G /etc Sweet Home, Can't you see ....
