@Holidow the way i see it you can either defend or attack. when attacking you dont have the sentry (unless you're camping which this is TF2 you should never camp in TF2) or when your defending a point/intell in which every enemy is going after. engineers need their engines.

So how do you get your wrench to hit when you clearly missed? Not only are most of them out of range, but half the time your not even looking at them when you kill them.  I also like how you(engi) can match the speed of scouts and medics, thats internesting.

I see this kind of thing alot in TF2 videos. People miss all over the place yet still net a kill.

i think that the wrench has the highest critical chance of any melee weapon. could anybody confirm that?

@iansquared3 All melee weapons that don't have special crit chances (Knife, Axtinguisher, Eyelander) Have the same crit chance of 15% but it goes up to 60% the more points you get and since the engineer gets points from hitting his sentry when people go to melee range of him they get hit by the 60% crit rate and as I play alot of spy it seems to have a 100% crit chance and so people (Spies) complain that it has a higher crit chance than other weapons.
