It runs on vegetable oil, diesel, biodiesel, ethanol.

I left the inerior light on for 6 days in winter and it started.

@blakedwards619 Ford only lasts 150,000 miles then transmission goes at 180,000 engine goes. If you keep pouring money in it sure. There is a 1976 Mercedes 240D taxi in Greece with 2.8 million miles. No ford can ever reach half of that.

@blakedwards619 I have 245,000 on my 1986 Mercedes 300SDL & it looks and runs new. It's easy to find out about reliability and long life. Just look at autotrader and sort the search so it shows high-miles first. You'll see that Mercedes diesels are #1, Subaru is #2, Toyota is #3, Chevy is the best of American cars with average highs of around 180k. Some fords may last over 200 but on the average they don't.

I still have original spark plugs in a ford. So i'm just ending this conversation now. I understand why your trying to defend the car you have. But dont forget we have one too. (Not for long)

@blakedwards619 Well, my other Mercedes, a 1995 C220 with a tiny 4-cylinder had 380,000 miles & I couldn't believe it until I saw the carfax. It looked new & ran smooth at 80mph on freeway. It all depends on the year, the model & most important of all how good previous owners maintained it. regarding Chevy, I have to add: 95 & up. Timing belts are replaced in all cars at 80,000. Chains usually don't need replacement. I change my sparkplugs to NGK-Iridium & keep for 30,000 then change again.C U
