the speed and ferocity of it was just light years ahead of everything else we were listening to at the time.sure i was familiar with things like destruction,sodom,bathory,whiplash,the more extreme[for "metal" of the time]end of things,but this was different.it took the "raw" feeling of full-on,uncontrolled speed and presented it in a "clean,big-budget" production.the over-the-top-ness was just SO over the top and outragious that,to most,yeah it was goofy but that kind theatrics is common now.

Guitar matches vocal tenor. Not treble. Not alto. Not even tenor. Vocal tenor. There's some overlapping of sounds in the different clefs but not enough to explain this recording. Shouldn't a Juilliard graduate be able to hear and see the difference?

The problem with guitarists like these is there is no expression in what they play all they do is practice the same crap over and over again and that is all they can play......sure they can play it fast but that is not really music........she really wants to be impressive write some actual expression and then play it fast not just practice scales and then start playing them fast.....anybody can do that hell I could in my first year of guitar and then I stopped and learned many styles & expressed

Paul gilbert would kick her ass. Hes a hell of better shredder and can actually create songs instead of ripping off old classical songs and then playing them so fast theres no point. She just a full on ego maniac who cares more about how fast she plays things than the actually music.

i can see why exactly he doesn't like her. she is incredibly sloppy, and just alternate picks on one string going up and down on it, she doesn't add any technique to it or anything, i mean if she just started doing some godly sweeps and maybe some interesting legato licks i might be impressed....but i'm not

Fuck.. I wish there was a way I could get her songs with better recordings. She's pretty impressive but, at some points in her songs I feel as though the drums over power it to much. Not so much on this song as the others at least. Whatever, still brutal.
