that dont sound right, my v6 24v coss is strait up the revs. You using a modded computer or the stock ecu. the plenum should have enough stored air to rev to 3k before needing the breath. these engines run the rev range brilliantly. take that silly filter off and put a really good induction kit on instead so you can cool the air down well before the intake.
