God damn it! It is like they are deciding to kill a human on account of BODY being dead! WTF! You are deciding to kill a person not a body, and that person is pretty much ALIVE!
as a commercial diver and pilot , did not drink or smoke, then at 46 had a stroke, my family was told, i would not live through the night, but yet today, i write this because of the dedication of the doctors.
@boswachter007 It would have been easier for me if I’d been able to upload this documentary as one video but YouTube doesn’t allow ‘standard users’ to upload clips that are longer than 10 minutes. Anyway, I'm glad you appreciated it.
when he started to smile at the end, i couldn't help smiling with him!
scary, this "locked-in syndrome" thing. i've had 2 brain surgeries this past year, and on BOTH occasions, i wrote out specific instructions for my parents so that if something went wrong, they'd know for sure & not have to guess. but now i'm rethinking it all!

This film is a testament to the strength and courage of the human spirit.
People have the power within themselves to heal and lead a reasonably
happy life with quality despite horrendous conditions and problems.
I have great admiration for Richard's family and gratitude for the dedication
& skills of our medical profession.
