What I like about the Barenaked Ladies is that you can tell they are very down to earth and just ordinary people just by listening to their music and by seeing them upload videos like this. They're not putting on an act or trying to follow trends and styles. They just go out there and be themselves! Great band!

Actually, I think a lot is lost on this version. The bass really makes this song, as does the a cappella style. I'm not saying it's bad: It's very good. But it's lacking a lot.

I love this raw style of recording, its awesome, its like a private show, but anyway, I think that he should play an acoustic electric, and sing into a microphone, that would just make it that much better. Maybe a few filters, or effects, on voice or guitar.

I'm not completely sure, but I think its a Taylor 810e. Typically, those have cutaways and no tobacco finish though. It's definitely a beauty though.

What's also great about them is that they have actual talent. In these videos they sound exactly like they do on albums. Amazing...a band that doesn't need to cover its singing up using computers.

Rush doesn't need to, or Weird Al, or REM, etc. You are right, it's awesome that there are bands that don't need to enhance their voices with technology, and BNL is one of them, but they aren't unique, which is good, I guess. No point in having a million "stars" who can't sing for real, so it's great having real bands.
