i wanna no more about playing bass through it im a player and everthing ive found on it is guitar related, what amps and cabs and effects and sound ect.
@nomaddrunk POD Far offers a slew of bass amps, cabs, and effects. 28 amps, 22 cabs. Take a look at our website for details on which ones are offered.
@nomaddrunk POD Farm has a lot of great bass and cab models built into it so I think you'd definitely be able to find something you like. I'm not sure if that answers your question but there's a lot you can do for bass in POD Farm.
@twinkandbob Yes.You can mic up your amp to record your guitar through the POD Studio devices. Keep in mind thought that the UX1 does not have phantom power so you won't be able to use a condenser mic with that particular POD Studio. A dynamic mic will work fine though.
@maquinapeluda POD Farm 2 offers Elements plug ins which allow you to use just the FX as plugins on their won as opposed to bringing up the entire rig GUI of POD Farm. Also, we've implemented MIDI control in PF 2.
I've got a new metal song done with the UX1 and pod farm in my profile called "Art of War" , go check it out of your a metal fan! All self written, recorded and produced!
i am asking that pod farm can work without any audio usb, only with simple audio in laptop, audio device, guitar rig works fine with standard audio devices that's inside the laptop or pc, and my question is that pod farm work like that?
@vladmoore the latest version of POD Farm will work with any USB audio interface. POD Farm is not the editor for Pocket POD so that won't work. I'm not sure what you are asking in regards to Guitar Rig 4.
@MrMrNoName94 POD Farm isn't a recording application if that's what you mean. You use POD Farm to process your input signal from an audio interface into a 3rd party recording application like Sonar or Cubase, etc.
@SHAGADAH POD Farm isn't the recommended editor for your POD, Gearbox is. Also, since the POD itself has on board processing you won't be able to use POD Farm to change your sounds. If I were you I would just set up the POD and run it directly into Audacity. Plug headphones or speakers directly into the POD to monitor your sound and playback.
@Sephiroth78941 point release updates are free. Major updates may cost you some cash but we do offer upgrade discounts to people who already own POD Farm.
@VisContigo the latest version of POD Farm is 2.5. It's a paid upgrade that you can purchase on our online store at our website. This version is completely hardware independent so it will work with your POD or any other 3rd party audio interface. If you want to go the free route then you can download POD Farm 2.5 Free version but the model set is very limited.
@wpm2011 you can record different combinations of 2 tracks at a time with the UX2 so yes. If you need to record more than 2 at a time than you'll need an interface with more inputs.
@line6movies thanks, i guess what im really asking is can i record something with this, then take it and mix another track with it to eventually make a whole song with all instruments
After I plugged in the Line 6 pod everything went just fine, im playing through my loudspeakers and it sounds good enough, but when im watching youtube and other videosites my loudspeakers make really weird CRRSHHH making sound, ONLY on videosites and it seems like it sounds more often when im watching in higher quality, this didn't happend when I had the soundthing directly from my loudspeakers to my PC, but now it's really annoying.. any suggestions?
@Donnner93 you should visit our main support page and take a look at the Windows optimization FAQ we have there. It could be that you just may need to tweak a couple of settings on your PC. If you still have issues then I'd encourage you to reach out to our support reps so they can help you troubleshoot.
i purchased a ux2 with pod farm and getting like a ticking sound when i stop playing also pops and crackles every few seconds making recording impossible iv downloaded all updates and drivers still getting the same iv spent days reading threads seems a common problem for some, gearbox however runs fine with no inteference at all did notice though i had proper win 7 64 driver on update and not with pod farm 2 maybe this is the problem most people are using macs as well is this why ??
@tonyyuille thanks ive noticed that when i render it and export it or play it as a wav file through normal pc speakers its fine so its only on the ux2 output i get a bit of this popping so i can live with that thanks for your help
@tonyyuille your welcome! You may want to adjust your buffer slider settings in the Line 6 Audio MIDI Devices control panel to see if it will help with that popping on playback.
@CelestialObscurity Launch POD Farm Stand Alone application and go to the mixer section and send a dry or unprocessed signal to your DAW. After you have recorded the take you can close out of PF Stand Alone and launch the plug in and apply your effects while you loop your audio track.
@brucemiddlemiss POD Farm 2 doesn't have a player. You need to import your backing tracks into a recording application like Sonar or Cubase in order to do this.
I just bought a Line 6 UX2 Studio from best buy about a month ago and the lady at checkout said that, because of my late purchase of pod farm, I could get pod farm 2 for free by going online and downloading it. I cant download it, it just gives me a discount. Why can't I get it for free?
@Adayam Hi, have you reached out to Line 6 Support, they will be able to get you help with this. Visit the Line 6 site and click on Support in the top navigation. Thanks.
After all of these years, where is your Fender Super Reverb? While the argument could be made that there are a number of your models that sound similar to each other, nothing sounds like a Super Reverb.
@hyprickson Hi Larry, Product Development welcomes this kind of feedback, just visit the line6 site and put in /pdfeedback and that will take you to the form to leave it. Thanks!
@izmalcheahmad Unfortunately, no. Pocket POD does not work with POD Farm 2 at this time. You can submit a feature request for this by going to the Line 6 website and clicking on Contact Us. Then just click on the Product feedback link. Thanks.
"What if you could Record first and choose your tone later after hering in in the mix?" How would you do that in Pod Farm 1 of is it just a new feature in Pod Farm 2.
@sergiotall You can do that in POD Farm 1 if you have purchased it as a plug in to use within your recording application. You can record a dry signal into your recording app and pull up POD Farm as a plug in to demo tones while you loop your track.
@liamzuid POD Farm 2 is a free upgrade if you activate your POD Farm software after October of 2009. If you qualify you can obtain the free upgrade through the Line 6 Monkey updating tool.
@TheSKPwningEst1992 We did add a bunch of new tones as well as something called Elements plug ins which allow you do just insert a certain effect as opposed to the whole “rig” plug in.

@SatanKreator POD Farm 2 is a free upgrade if you activate your POD Farm software after October of 2009. You can obtain the free upgrade through the Line 6 Monkey updating tool. The main difference between POD Farm 1 and 2 are elements plug ins. line6.com/podfarm/elements.html
@trulynot All of the Mic models in POD Farm are Mono. The mics can be moved closer or further from the cabinets. We offer some mic models in off axis modes in regards to positioning.
@line6movies Thanks for that. I have say though, I have tried out the demo for Guitar Rig 4 and its amazing so I will be buying that in a hardware bundle.
@KG739 You can get POD Farm to put on an iLok key (sold separately and is NOT an audio interface) to use as a plug-in with your existing recording program and audio interface.
If you check out my channel, you'll see that the sound isn't as high quality as this; yes, I'm using Pod Farm 2. Is this because of my computer and its soundcard? Perhaps its ability to pick up signals? I'm using Cubase for recording, so I know it isn't the DAW.
@CelestialObscurity It's really hard to judge your stuff against this... Almost clean vs. incredibly high gain, single coils vs. humbuckers, overdrive vs. distortion, ect. Not to mention that, no offense intended, Line 6 probably paid to have this mixed and mastered by an absolute professional that probably does nothing BUT that.
I'm not knocking your skill, passion, gear, DAW, or anything... I'm just saying that there's absolutely no way to compare your recordings to this one.
Hi @CelestialObscurity and @matneyx This is always a hard subject because there are a few factors involved. We are going to be working on some tips for recording videos soon and hope maybe we can cover some of these factors. For this video our multimedia manger used a Fender American Strat > Line 6 UX1 > Macbook Pro > POD Farm 2 > Pro Tools LE and mixed it himself.
Not good enough to justify upgrading from version 1. I like the footcontroler function but that's something that sould have already come from the beginning
Osanan: you need gearbox to edit X3 live banks from your computer. You can "only" use pod farm from inside your DAW as effects to one or more tracks (so you can record a dry input and then use pod farm to modify your sound until it sound perfect, instead of having to record each variation every time).
Dunno if pod farm 2 works with X3 live standalone. Hope so, so we can put gearbox behind us once and for all!
@cikicrocus and @thinwire, somewhere online I read that someone had spoken with Line6 on the phone and was told that the modelling is exactly the same as Pod Farm 1. Given that, I think charging for this 'upgrade' is pretty rich. It seems to only add a few usability features to the client. The only usability feature I ever wanted was the ability to make the window larger, as browsing patches in that tiny area is cumbersome.
nice to see you guys working on it! About the A/B/Y thing: I have a problem with recording both guitar and microphone.
I can either send two stereo tracks (as rec send 1/2 and 3/4) with processed sound, or one with unprocessed audio of the mic on the left channel and guitar right channel. There is no function of sending 2 separate, unprocessed tracks to my DAW. Has this problem been fixed in Pod Farm 2? Or am I doing something wrong?
If you guys want to hear the sound of Line 6 podfarm check my 2 song on my channel i used it for them:)
