As of recent, I feel they look in the negative direction of their lives, and like everyone in life move forward and backwards. I found myself saying " f**k it". Thinking that way worked for me, and I enjoyed the lightness. This was only temporary though, so keep that in mind. I guess one of my greatest accomplishments, was being able to step away from a comfort.
There was a time when I enjoyed Radiohead, but it was a time I often felt out of control.
I think they are great at playing instruments. I don't know any of them personally, nor have I met them. This is what I have gathered from their music:
Best band since the Beatles, and it's not even close. Eight or nine great albums in a row, all with a different sound, all top notch quality. What other band since the Beatles have done that?
@Mineav Rush, Yes, Camel, Scorpions, Megadeth, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen. Hmm gee Radiohead must be the bestest ever!!! derp. Number of albums does not equal a band's greatness.
I think most of you are realy stupid beacause i like radiohead and coldplay and they are my two favorite bands and i think their music is very different, coldplay IMO are better than radiohead just a tiny bit, and not at all a ripoff one off the other.
Now you Radiohead NERD FANS WHO CUT THEIR OWN WRISTS AND ARE TOTAL EMOS saying that coldplay imitate radiohead obviously didn't ear all their albums specifically Rush Of Blood To The Head and Parachutes.
coldplay are just a radiohead inspired band ,its good, but thom and friends are way up ....they are highly creative musicians, many of their songs are absolute masterpieces and really. the only kinds of, in this generation.mmm
coldplay are just a radiohead inspired band ,its good, but thom and friends are way up ....they are highly creative musicians, many of their songs are absolute masterpieces and really. the only kinds of, in this generation.
@AmelieDemy As much of a huge Radiohead fan that I am (and not really Coldplay fan)...they've never really imitated Radiohead. They sound completely different as bands.
@alttakes yeah "How Do You" is pretty poppy. You want some grungy poppyness check out "gremmie out of control" by pearl jam. there my fav band but im kinda ashamed of that song :-(
start the pity party....some people are real good at feeling sorry for themselves...god forbid the world doesnt revolve around you.....totally selfish. well guess what...if u die...the world keeps moving on with out you. FACT
OMG! I hope not they continue make this music, i dont like it at all. I love them becouse of their "weird" music. This is so normal!! I wanna cryyyy!! :'(
I listen to lots of music. When it comes to bands, I've always been biased of British ones. It is so incomprehensible to me how the press and "Radiohead" themselves have cast off this album as a mere amateur effort. I listen to many bands from The Cure, XTC, Blur, Iron Maiden to Radiohead and I will always defend Pablo Honey as an outstanding album! Years after this album was released, my sister and I would still listen to the cassette in our vehicles. Definitely a lot of replay value!
@solarboy64 Listen to the musicianship from their first 2 albums moron. As someone who actually plays an instrument I know what I'm talking about. To put Smash Mouth in the same sentence as Third Eye Blind just makes you an idiot.
No, it´s not. Coldplay is a non-deep lyrics writer, lucky 8 songs band, like 80% of the bands. They made 8 or 10 songs of success, and their lyrics don´t mean a thing! Coldplay is nice to pass some dead time, but, to me, it´s definitely not in my "Music"(and I understand "music" as art) playlist.
That a bit like saying you were "shit" at four years old or at fourteen years old as opposed to when you are seventy-four years old. People and artists grow and develop and so does their art and who they are. You have to go through here to get to there. It's all you. Without Please Please Me, no Revolver; Without Pablo Honey, no Amnesiac. Without you at fourteen, ... ...
Great song! A great album indeed! The first of the three great albums. Then they started doing funny things with noises and beeps just to pass the time :) After OK computer there's nothing but a couple of medium songs.
@ruichicau78 My guess is you havent really listened to later Radiohead. Noises and beeps is a comment given by someone who just sampled the songs and then wrote it off because it was different. Thumbs down
No offense to those who love "Pablo Honey", I've heard the majority of the tracks off the album; it's no where near as musically noteworthy as their later work. Then again it's their debut album, it's also the only LP of their's I don't own. I also love Coldplay.
Goddamn it, why is everyone always hating on Coldplay? Just because they haven't evolved as far musically as Radiohead doesn't automatically mean they suck. I love both a great deal. Why can't we just enjoy the music without constantly making inane comparisons to Muse and Radiohead and Coldplay and everything else?
Radiohead didn't plagiarize Joe Satriani like Coldplay did.
But I agree, I hate the comparisons. Especially between Muse and Radiohead. I don't even think they sound all that similar. (Withholding my huge bias for Muse.) They are two totally different bands. Why do people have to compare them?
Well I think people compare because a lot of Muse's music was inspired by Radiohead's. As Radiohead was inspired by The Smiths and the Pixies as well as other bands.
Muse is by far my favorite band.. they're just the best. Radiohead and Coldplay are next on my list, but they're all very different bands. No need to compare, except that they're all awesome.
How so? They make simple pop music. That's what they're good at, that's what they do, and that's what they're comfortable with. They don't aspire or pretend to be anything else than they are. Personally, I love them and I don't see why everyone's always making idiotic comaprisons and claims about them.

its just because Radiohead a lot of personal problems occuring after pablo honey and u have to think going from lowest to highest popularity over night would kinda make u mad cause ud have cameras sitting in front of your bedroom window the next time ud go to sleep just cause of your popularity mind u it isnt horrible music on the album but it just caused a lot of damage
@minorsincorporated : I agree, it certainly isn't bad by any means, in fact, it's probably better than most band's best albums today, but I have to admit that of all Radiohead's albums this is my least favorite.
