  • Good video explaining on how to install a rope type seal. I've always used a Fel Pro silicon type two piece seal and staggered it on my Ford 289 / 302 motors, with RTV silicon sealant on the ends. Do you prefer a rope seal over a Fel Pro two piece silicon seal? Which one will last longer and be leak free?

  • That is excellent. I've had many problems with these over the years. Great to see an explanation of how to do it properly.

  • Finally, we get to see how its done by the very people who have rebuilt holden V8 engines more than holden has built them. This video is so detailed and informative because so many so called mechanics treat this area as your usual pull out and put in procedure. Holden V8 rope rear main has always been a problematic area and this video shows how you can make it leak free for the life of the engine basically.

  • Great video, very informative. As a mature age apprentice mechanic and having recently completed a TAFE course on performance engine building, I really appreciate it when experienced guys give freely of their time and knowledge. Thank you!
