An old wino called Derek used to play this in Colchester, I sometimes played sax with him, busking on the street. He died a few years back. This song is like he's still playing, thanks.

This has always been one of my all time favorites. When I first heard it and tried to pick it up on the guitar it would always irk me that it was in F so I would transpose it to like C or G in order for my early open chord knowledge to work the complete song but it never really sounded right.

George had the luxury of a full band backing him, while I have to play all the parts, so I dropped those last few notes for the sake of keeping the song's rhythm going. Thanks for the comment!

Unbelievable Adrian!!! After the third beatle song you did, I found myself tearing in both eyes! So, although I know you get a lot out of doing this, why not capitalize and get a promotable cd. You must know Leo Kottke? He has 2-3 cd's and he only sings on 3-4 tunes, the rest is mind-boggling 12 string acoustic and you remind me of him a tad. I think you are better, but Leo struck in the mid-70's when we had comedy clubs as a music substitute. Nowadays, rockers would pine for a new sound--yours!
