No offence, but do you not think the dog could have dealt with the newly born pup by itself? I mean, it's in their nature to get that layer of film off and start licking the puppy so it has her scent on it.

@zx5083 Thx for taking the time to leave an inquisitive comment. For the most part, you are right. On most occasions, no outside involvement is necessary. If nature can take its course on its own, it's always better to let that happen. Not because of the mother needing to get her scent on the pup; that happens immediately. Most of the time, the mother instinctively know what to do and does it best. But from time to time she will need human intervention due to an unforeseen issue that can happen.

Hey, I plan to breed my male I'm currently planning on finding a bitch for him but if I breed the female is there anyway of stopping the nipples from sagging so much?

Because it'd be horrible taking a female to the park with nipples that nearly touch the floor. :-(

@sorryunlucky Thanks for your comment. I don't think you'll have to worry about that problem when you get your female. The milk doesn't come in until right before the puppies are born, and by that time she won't be able to go for walks because she will have to stay with her babies. :-) Good luck!
