  • How come wen mine goes in the water it's clear

  • ur soposto use warm waterr

  • At the beginning, it was nice. But at least.....

  • I've just been doing an essay analysing text, I'm in the state of mind to overthink; is the tiffany blue called for audrey because of the breakfast at tiffany's star Audrey Hepburn?

  • this seems like a waste of nail polish

  • Just put chapstick on your finger and it's faster than putting tape on and easier. It will keep the fingernail polish from sticking on the finger

  • @FriendsTilZeEnd it's Natasha Bedingfield's "These Words"

  • the water does not have to be warm, room temp is fine. And to anyone who wants to try this, don't stick your entire finger in the cup of water. There's a much easier way to do it. But for whomever, it is quite time consuming to marble your nails.

  • What should be room temparture so the top doesnt get like a "skin"..

  • Tip: Put tape around your finger, and THEN put vaseline or lotion on the part of your skin by the nail that the tape isn't at. <3

  • Also u can use scotch tape and tape around your finger nail so it doesn't get on your finger. Check out cute polishes tutorial. It's great!

  • What song was that from in the beginning?

  • Nail polish for your nails? Really? Is like saying lipstick for your lips!!! :S

  • how come my nail polish wont spread when I drop it in it just stays the same size

  • Another tip: I just tried this and I put Vaseline around my fingernail and up my finger and the nail polish on your finger more or less just peels off. My marbling wan't great but it was a first attempts and will try again in a few days when this one has worn off.

  • it is soo hard

  • 3:33 MEW TWO. or whatever. hahah, look like an animal, hope someone else see's it. :)

  • This is cool!!

  • I thought this would be easy....it is def. one of those things that looks WAY easier than what it is. none of them came out "perfect" looking and it was a waste of np remover .... and a mess :(

if you have the time to it do, go for it..but..ehh..i'll just stick to one color lol

  • Hey, it works better with the closed windows and new nailcolors, don't use fast-dry colors. You'll need to improve on this... good luck.

  • maybe you could try drawing a specific design in the polish :] your manicure would ne better overall.

  • I'm not trying to be annoying; I'm not trying to be rude. I'm sure you already are aware, but if you're not, or you have just chosen not to for this particular video, regular Scotch tape or nail tape around your nail really helps save time so you don't have to go back and spend as much time cleaning up your nails at the end. Just reminding y'all.... Thanks for the video! It was really helpful! :)

  • That was very cool... I'm going to try it. Actually, I think I have that exact blue-green China glaze... It looks kind of silly on my fingers just like that, because of my skin color, but I think it'll work for marbling. Thanks a bunch. :)

  • waaugh it's impossible!

i tried like 10 times and wasted a lot of drops of nail polish,

but everytime I tried to marble it, it just sticks to the toothpick everytime.

and I did it all in 5 seconds, so I can't be I'm slow. ):

  • Warm water and filtered or bottled makes a huge difference for marbling (running wet nails under cold tap water helps dry them quicker).

  • IT'S CALLED TAPE.

  • because the water was cold it made the skin and if it was room temp it wouldnt do that

  • you need room temp water not cold

  • i can't get it to work, i keep getting this skin around it and it just breaks the pattern up if that makes sense lol. its really annoying because i can't make the patterns because of the skin :(

  • If you use room temp water and you put a white base coat on the colors will be brighter. Also to eliminate cleanup on your fingers you can use tape around your nails. That's what I do! Still your nails look really cool!

  • get well soon..

  • u knw ur supposed 2 remove the access nail polish b4 u take ur nail outta the water?

  • and you can also tape around your nail!

  • Use room temp water this helps it eaiser. also! you let it sit waay to long you have to move really quickly!

  • what cind of water did you used?? hot or cold and what did you put in there?

  • I cant get the polish to drip!

  • thanks

  • put chapstick on ur finger the paint doesnt stickas easily ..:))

  • EVERYONE. ROOOOOMM TEMPERATURREEE. There, I fixed it.

  • i tried this and the second drop was just a drop and didnt despersse

  • do you tape your finger??

  • could you posiblly doo this on your toes becase it was only a week ago whe i got my nails doone acrylic and i want to keep them like that but please let me know if you can do it on your toes

  • A tip for u put either lotion Vaseline or tape around ur finger except for the nail I use tape it works the best for me

  • Hi, I was just wondering if you have to have the water at a certain kind of temperature for it to work properly? I tired the technique yesterday but no matter how warm or cool the water was the polish just didn't dispurse properly at all. Then when I tried to drag the design it just stuck to the tooth pick. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

  • @gdshphrd2 the water should be in room tempetature. As for the tooth pick, do not dip it into the water, just grag the design on the surface. hope i helped!

  • U should have used oil on ur fingers so it doesn't stick that muchh ! Try ittt !!

  • what kind of temperature is the water ?

  • @twittertweetxx it may just be because of the brand you are using. Some work better than others. But everyone, you should use a luke warm water bc it won't skim that way. Not too warm

  • how do you get them to come out without bubbles? by that i mean air bubbles on the nails when coming out the water? they are beutiful

  • does the nail polish dry after you take your finger out and whipe all the nail polish off your skin dry or not

  • for some reason mine doesnt disperce does anyone know y??

  • When i dip my finger in i removed my nail to find a marbly blob on my finger. What went wrong?

  • Can you help me please :) I cant get the nail varnish in the bowl to kinda 'dissolve' the first drop 'dissolves' then second drop doesn't, it just sits like a blob on the top then when I try to drag it its all gone like a film. I've tried with changing the temperature of the water and even used different sized cups! Can someone please help?

  • @xoxashleighxxox I have the same problem... I've tried many many times to no avail. Someone help us!

  • do you have a base coat, like white ? or are u just using ur plain clear nails ?

  • your voice is annoying.

  • @CorrieKilgannon Thats not nice. Some people just have nasal voices.

  • is the water in the cup cold, hot or warm?

  • @megerz141 The marbling won't work if the water is too cold. If the water is too cold, the polish will dry and you won't be able to drag it.

  • Can you marble more than one finger @ a time?

  • @mindyyyyy Absolutely!

  • whats rong with the backround noise

  • wen u started to drag it, it seemed that it dried, next time, try room tempurature water instead of cold water, it should work better

  • do you put a base coat on before you do this??

  • lol

  • use a thinner nail polish it works best, also put petrolium vaseline on your finger(except the nail) then it works fine. dont get mad it takes a while to get most importantly have FUN!!!!!!!

  • ORRRRR you can use Vaselin on your finger ! then you dont have to have nail polish all over the place

  • yeah it really works, the nailpolish just slides of

  • I tried this technique yesterday , and seriously , no kidding , i did not get a single nail done. I don't know how warm the water should be , and ALWAYS when i tried to make the print , there was like a "skin" on the top of those nailpolishes , so i couldn't do anything. I tried this like 20 times , but it was all wrong. I was soooooooooo frustrated :(

  • i used a smll round plastic cup and filled it pretty high, then i used Opi, Ulta3 and Christina Fitzgerald, and they all worked. i tried to dip my nail in so that it was flat against the pattern. then i cleared up all excess on the surface. u have to really make sure theres no skin left. i hope that helps

  • @Ewel9 u need 2 get water in the cup ur ganna use n leave it in a room 4 a couple then it would work because it room tempetuere which is the temp u need so it could work

  • @Ewel9 yes for me too! what did i do wrong?!:(

  • @Ewel9 in the other vids it says that the water must be warm if it gets cold the skin will appear... good luck

  • @Ewel9 Mine didnt even disperse, it just literally fell in, then formed a gooey ball at the bottom :'(

  • @XPURPLElemonadex

You might not be close enough to the water surface. I just watched another video about water marbling that says you need to drop the polish really close to the top of the water... If you drop from too high, it will sink to the bottom.

  • @Ewel9 Check out Water Marbling FAQ: Filtered vs. Tap Water, Room Temp. vs. Cold by Simplelittlepleasures

  • @Ewel9 its best to use room temp. filtered water and if there is a skin then youve taken too long:) hope that helps!

  • @Ewel9 try it with new nailpolishes, cause they're more liquid and expand it very well, it doesn't matter the temperature of the water, close the windows and take patience.

  • That shirt is really really cute!! and i will have to try this out sometime....

  • when i do this it like sticks on the stick that i use to swirl it with. how do i fix that?

  • u just put the tip of the stick and slowly mix it b4 it dries

  • my nailpolish drowned to the bootom

  • lol, mine did a bit too

  • this did not work when i did it

  • tip: you can put tape aound your finger, and then u just take the tape off so its not on your skkin

  • lol it looks like she is doing eye surgery...

but the nails are too cute! i have to try this!

  • a quick tip:you can use petroleum jelly to your finger before you dip it so you can easily remove messy nail polish on your skin :)

  • a quick tip:you can use petroleum jelly on the side of nails and at the back of your fingers to easily remove messy nail polish on your finger :)

  • Owls generally have flat faces. Their diet consists of mice, rats, voles, shrews, worms and other tasty treats.

  • please help! me it doesnt disperse. it just stays in aa blob

  • not all nail polishes are marbeling frenzy. which brand did you use? maybe try a different one

  • wat brand did u use

  • how do u do it? ive been trying and trying and it always dries on me.. and when the drops hit the water they dont spread out how urs do? wat am i doing wrong?... also i wanted to ask wat tem does the water have to be?

  • not cold or hot. just room tem. like warm. haha

  • Also you guys, you should base your nails with a different color or even a clear nail polish. it will help it stick better : P

  • I'm so angry, I've tried so many times but even if I'm quick either the polish dries too quickly or it leaves a very thick coat on my nails that'll take forever to dry :-((

  • PPL!! if u need help, you send a message not a comment!

  • Its a shame when people do tutorials online yet when people have questions they dont answer. SMH

  • Mot of the times the answers are already answered yet people don't bother reading ... :-S

  • wow...Kool!!!

  • and~*

will the water/nail polish stain the cup?

(this is my last comment by the way lol)

  • lol I don't mind the questions!

Yeah, you can reuse the cup of water again as long as you make sure there is no nail polish left floating on the surface of the water. Personally, I put the water pretty full in the cup so I don't have to dip my hand all the way down into the bottom. It's not so much about the amount of water, just whatever amount is more convenient for you.

The polish will usually float to the edges of the cup and dry there, but that doesn't present a problem =)

  • @BeautyPincher You should tape your fingers. reduces cleanup time.

  • and can you re-use the cup of water?or do you have to pour it out everytime you do a nail?

  • how much water do you need? whole cup?

  • are you not going to clean the camera ?? :L

  • No, but thanks for asking.
