My e string sounds the same as yours but when I play the chord together it doesn't sound right? I think it may be my first string that's not tuned? Helpp!

@hellobbyx did you tune the rest of you chords accordingly? Don't just tune the e up so that it is a little sharp tune the other ones too. That should fix the sound of the chords you are playing.

Thanks a lot this was really helpful and after just a little practice I got it down; however,you forgot to talk about the bridge. It's around 2:30 in the song when she sings, "oh I just can't take it, my heart is racing, emotions keep spinning out"

I tried to figure it out myself thinking maybe it was simply strumming the 4 chorus chords, but it seems more complicated than that.

I think you barre the 4th fret, place your pinky and ring finger on the 3rd and 4th strings (respectively) on the 6th fret, and then your middle finger goes on the 2nd string on the 5th fret. :)

@milwgearhead C#m is a barre chord, you barre the A,D,G,B,and high E string on the 4th fret,then on the 6th fret D and G strings you put your pinky and ring fingers on them,then your middle finger goes on the 5th fret,B string :) hope this helps you and more people.

you did a GREAT job explaing the chorus and verses but the pre- chorus was very hard to follow. you didn't explain the E chord/voicing very well. and it was just very confusing. but other than that great job :) you should defiantly keep doing this.

Cierra, thanks for the suggestions. I recently have added PDF for this lesson that further explains the chords and shows diagrams for them in the more info. This will definitely clarify things for you. Also you can just play an E at that point and it will work as well. Hope it helps.
