Would you feel comfortable having someone tell you to look at a tree if you were having a tough time and needed to go inside yourself to get in touch with what is hurting?

Questionable teaching...I think yes, there are many things, the air, the trees, etc that are wonderful things, but to tell somone who is unhappy to focus on these things is avoiding what is causing a person to feel unhappy. A person needs to feel a lot of sorrow comfortably to heal from unhappiness. Then, it is automatic to notice the trees and other things that feel good. So, I think there is a lack of understanding there.
