For those interested look up TITRATION. That is an experiment used to determine the acidity of a solution. An indicator is mixed in with an acidic solution, where a basic solution is then slowly dripped into the acidic mixture. When too much of the basic solution is added the indicator then reacts with it causing it to change colour.

i love this reaction!!!!! my chem class and i saw it performed at a chemistry lecture at ucl----- there's nothing more captivating to a theatre full of 16, 17 and 18 year olds than some pretty changing colours!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Thanks for the concern :) besides for gloves,I'm going to have to put on my running shoes for an upcoming experiment to run away from the huge chemical reaction .It's going to be big!...stay tuned!!!
