you can also get the demo off steam, im running a 2.5 quad core w/ a radeon 4870 1gig 256bit DDR5 and 6 gigs ram, so we'll see how well it plays. havent found a game that could slow it down yet.

How are these truly demanding graphics? I mean they are good really good, but not so demanding that it puts Crysis to shame. Vegetation is lame in my opinion. The forest doesn't feel like a true forest to me. I guess I am really upset about the fact that my 9800 GTX+ OC edition is not going to matter worth crap, and another thing, how does an 8800 GTX out preform a 9800 GTX +?

Alright yeah, you got a point, but I did make it clear I was upset about the benchmarks. I think the grass and trees should look better with an 8800GT card requirement. That is all I was saying. The grass can look bad, but don't ask, or demand for a mid level high end card.

Too demanding for a game like this. It recomends an 8800GT card, and the benchmarks are just reaching the 40's in the GTX 285 and up range. I mean a 9800 GTX+ doesn't even matter with and i7 processor, and oodles of RAM. This sucks!!

a ps3 is $400 and u can play any game u want with no worries and u get BLUE RAY

but a pc everytime u buy anything, something new already came out and ur stuff is outdated,

only getting a proccessor and mabeyy a grafixx card will cost about $400

and u still might run into lagg, freezing, buggs, slowdown which rarely happens to councels

if i upgraded it back then i would need to upgrade my system again but lets wait for the system requirments lol

the ps3 when it first came out was 600 or so. And the only reason your comp gets outdated so fast is because the new parts are for games in the future. If you put 600$ into your computer every time a new console came out your pc will be much better then the console. my comp is older then 360 and it was only 1000$. And not to mention you save a shit ton on free updates unlike consoles you have to pay like 12 bucks for a game update or maps.

but for people who own both systems upgrading a pc can seem unnecessary and costly when they can easily buy it for console without worrying about system requirments and bugs (like GTA4 Halo2 GOW)

the only reason i have ps3 is for friends, exclusives games (Grand Turismo 5), and people can come over to play multiplayer or u can easily transport it else ware

well halo gta4 and gow are all console based games. and arma 2 is a pc based game. but you can upgrade your pc to be top of the line for the price of a new console. so really its not more expensive. look at it this way, the first xbox is like your pc a long time ago, then you paid 600$ to upgrade it to 360, then like 800-1000$ to upgrade it to 720 when it comes out.

sorry, lots of stuff to correct you on. First off consoles get WAY more lag since almost every game is player hosted. you get delay, lost connections, and the host gets host power. Your comp only gets fucked up if you dont have good virus protectors. but it can be easily fixed by just reformatting your comp which takes like 5 minutes. and pcs you can always fix. consoles you have to send them in and wait weeks for them to be fixed. and game freezes happen a lot more on console then pc.

u need some xbox harddrive dock that i can but for a cheap price and the dock connects to USB 2.0....

and there r programs u ca download plus u can modify the gme files it self be unpaking the files in the game...

Got an IMac as well, although my specs are a bit higher; 4 gigs of RAM, 2.66 GHz, and 750 gigabytes of hard drive space. Boot Camp works splendidly too, but I can't jack up the settings to the highest because things get laggy on those settings.

By the way, this is ancient compared to even the current preview build, check the forums for most up to date info..

They are not made by the same people. OFP2 is made by Codemasters, and ARMA2 Is made by Bohemia Interactive. As for which one is better, one opinion doesn't speak for everyone, I will say this. OFP2 Is all action fun 2 play stuff, ARMA2 Is Realistic Simulated War, As real as it gets for games these days. And yes They BOTH will be out for XBOX360

Define Realism. Realism isn't fancy graphics or animations. ARMA2 will have realistic balistics, dispersion, designation, suppresion, and infantry/vehicle/aircraft Characteristics. OFP2 is nothing more then playing out a movie in a video game purley for entertainment. Don't get me wrong they both will be good. I already pre-ordered OFP2 because its the only game that is available for pre-purchase at the moment.

The point is this... Op1 was developed by Bohemia Interactive. So is Arma II. Codemasters as the former publisher retained the rights for the brand and developed a second game.
