Andy could really have been another Neil Diamond if he'd been marketed right, but he was chained to the bubblegum train too late for it to work for him. At least he benefits from the "Sugar, Sugar" and "Rock Me Gently" airplay royalties, so there's that.

Really, this fabulous song has been veeeery much underrated, and it is, together with "Roc Me Gently", my very best favourites of the 70´s. No doubt, because I had my first crush at 9, when these songs were making the charts. And I had to wait until someone invented Youtube to be able to listen to them again, as often as I want!!!

One of my best Andy Kim songs of all time! I wonder why they don't play his other beautiful tracks like "Monday morning news or Songs I could sing you", "And I will sing you to sleep", etc. Andy Kim was one my all time 70s greats!!

I could be wrong, but if I remember right; the reason it didn't get much airplay was because of the lyrics. I believe the censorship idiots didn't like the lines containing "I'm on fire" or "take me higher". References to sex and marijuana. IDIOTS!
