If you suck at animating using confusing programs, you can get Alice (Alice.org) for free. you can make a detailed animation or even a video game. Even if you completely suck at it, it's extremely fucking easy!

Try both downloads, you are only be able to use 32 bit if you are running a 32bit os.

There is no coding, except for custom plugins and also the game engine which gives you the option to use python, but it is not needed. (they have a system of linking up sensors and actuators that is easy)

hey guys over the next few years me and a friend(both software devs in uni) are thinking of putting a game together for modeling and animation do you think blender would be a good software to use, we arnt going to use anything specal in terms of graphics/textures, however it will be 3D/2.5D. We do want the best not the easyest to use.

Are you using it for the game engine? (unity would be better for the game engine in many ways) But blender is a great program for making 3d models, normal maps, baking ambient occlusion, etc.

we are using the xna framework if that could be called a game engine, both of us are just doing it for the programming side(and making a good game ofc seeing that weve wasted most of are live in front of the tv playing them:P) but we more then anything want somthing light weight,we dont want to pour massive amounts of time into making great 3d models when are main aim is to become better programmers. We are looking at blender atm but will check out unity as well

I had installed blender but It kept on saying python not found. I had downloaded the newest version but I can't install it. Also every time I click on something in the program it leaves a blender photo at the background. Any ideas on how to solve it?

@uuuserunknown Try reinstalling blender, you don't need python to run blender, Python lets you use some other features (if your a beginner you won't need to worry). I did not create blender proper tech support would be found from blenders official website.
