Well done, kiddo. The reason your star is not hitting well is the thing is too chunky. It is loosing velocity as it flies. Trim off some of the excess wood,making it 'slimmer' Throw from the shoulder, whip your arm,and use a lower flatter trajectory, giving you accuracy and velocity.
