  • They are were great I hear them first time in 1980 and since then like them, who cares if gay look or not, were good and like people.

  • Lead singers from Angel and Quiet Riot should do a duet.

  • the production sucked on the studio albums, sounds like they forgot to pot up the bass any, like AM radio, but they were awesome in concert..

  • You're entitled to your opinion but I'm not feeling it! This album sounds pretty punchy to me. This group, like any with keys and guitars playing together has to be treated differently than your standard guitar rock band. This group also went for a more radio friendly, airy sound than your standard chest thumping rock band. This particular album is my favorite Angel LP. Not a bad song from beginning to end!

  • Where are Punky's whips ?

  • Right below his nose!

  • what happend to winter song on american bandstand?

  • Extremely under-rated band...too many groups out there today sound like garbage when compared to this "Monster Band"!!!!

  • tremendous song. there really wasnt a bad song on the album. 2nd only to the sinful ( bad reputation ) in my op...

  • DragonForce should go back in time and have a Battle of the Bands with Angel. They'd both win and both lose!

  • I have one of there albums on a vinyl 78

  • Oh dear, has it been that long? I had this album on 8 track tape...yikes.

  • I saw angel a few times back in the day. I loved these guys ! I saw them at the Tower in Upper Darby 2 times and they opened for Styx at the Spectrum.

  • @snorkelbda03 Saw that tour in Pittsburgh.

  • Gregg Guiffria the keyboard player went on to minor success with his band "Guiffria" and "House Of Lords".

    That's how I heard of them !!!!!

    I love Guiffria's music !!

  • I remember these guys ..... They toured with Crawler years ago.... I think it was at the old palladium in N.Y.C.

    Great keyboard player.

They were a great band !!

    Dave.

  • Very Cool! Haven't heard of them before. Thanks for sharing!

  • You're welcome Cooper! I plan to post more from this album.

  • Hey (is it Rick Yon or Ricky On or what?) anyway...are you here in MD? I saw Angel open for Styx at the Baltimore Civic Center, 3-3-79. They rocked pretty good. Do you have that entire Rush show, St louis 1980? I had it on tape (also off the radio) and lost part 1 and part 2 got chewed up before I could transfer it to cd. AARRGGHHH!

  • Hey (is it Seamus?) it's Rick Yon but you can call me Rick. Yes I am here in Maryland. We can throw around stories of great MD. bands (like this one)! My band was called Arsen. The tape that I recorded from DC101 on that date was Interview segments with Neil Peart and a mixture of live and studio cuts. It was billed as Live in St Louis but maybe they were just referring to the one cut??? I used to jam all the time with Punky's younger brother Timmy.....Rick

  • I had never heard of these ones before...

They seem to be great! : )

    Nice pictures too, Rick!

Post some other songs of them, please!

  • Thanks Natalia. I plan to post more from them.

  • Great song & video! Thanks Rick, it's awesome!

  • You're welcome Gina. I knew you would like it because we have the same taste in music!

  • Wow, this band is awesome! Unbelievable that I didn't hear of them before... Great video Rick :-).

    Michael.

  • Thank you my friend! What's next up on your channel? I'm getting ready to post something from 1975: It Takes A Woman's Love!

  • You're welcome. My next video will be "A Glimpse Of Home" from Monolith. I guess I'll have it finished till monday :-).

    Michael.

  • Thanks, Rick! I remember Angel well, their song "The Tower" is a KSHE classic, and one of my favorite old local bands used to do a great cover of it. I remember the whole White/Black, good/evil thing, funny... I wasn't sure how much fame they had across the country, sometimes the KSHE classics can be pretty unknown outside of the St.L. area. Didn't realize they were from Maryland. I even remember Guiffria- a one-hit wonder from the 80's!!! Thanks! Karen

  • You're welcome Karen! There are many stories around Angel not the least of which is the one where Punky Meadows refused Gene Simmons when he asked him to join Kiss!
