@toast357 Circumcision does not prevent HIV transmission altogether, at best it makes it less likely. Condoms are much more effective at preventing transmission of HIV than circumcision is.
@toast357 if somebody has HIV, they should be using condoms anyway, so the point is moot. And, of course, people should get tested before skipping condoms.

When my son was born 13 years ago, I did not consent to circumcision. His pediatrician asked, I said no, and she patted my shoulder and congratulated me for making an informed choice. I'm from Norway and I remeber babysitting a boy from the US, and when I changed his diaper I was like "What? Isn't something missing here?" A few weeks later I watched i documentary about cercumsision and I remeber I was completely shocked that parents would let their newborn babies go throug an extreemly painful and unnecessary incicion just because everyone else was doing it. So if youre uncircumsied and feel unnormal: come to europe, haha! :)
