  • do a tutorial

    plz

  • WTF Super fast o_o

  • cool cool cool cool cool cool

  • Mmm...it look to me as two FlameLicker Engine on the same flywheel... maybe I'm wrong but stirling engine don't work the same way.

  • it is a diferent form of stirling engine, called "thermoacoustic"

  • this definitely is a Stirling engine design without a displacement piston, not a framelicker.

  • what makes it thermoacoustic?

  • Comment removed

  • that is a stupid answer as well... it produces sound that we can't hear, which makes the air oscillate..

  • how hot are those heat sources?

  • Wonderful display, don't think it will push my Nissan Patrol too far but let's see where this all goes in the future---well done.

  • I tried building a lamina engine, but I could not get it to run more than 30 revolutions. Interestingly when I unhooked it from the flywheel I could get the piston to oscillate about 20 times without it.

  • how can we get rid of this sound? it may be a problem

  • Sound is not the problem.

If you run it in the desert I dont think sound would be a problem, but if so just sound proff it

  • The modern cars today would have been unbeareable hadn't it been for incredibly hight tech sound damping tubes they attach to their exaust pipes. Normaly, a small bike often sounds many times louder than a normal large car, that because it got practicaly no form of noise canseling system in it.

  • Hehe, yeah hight tech ;D

  • why is the choke a critical part of the engine?

  • Just COOL!!!

  • Choke diameter is 8.5mm. It is quite critical, but plus or minus 0.5mm would probably work.

  • ok, so what does choke do?

  • I am trying to build a single cylinder version of this engine. I was wondering if you could tell me the diameter of the choke (the hole between the power piston and the regenerator area). ? Do you think it matters how big that hole is?

  • the hell is powering that thing???

  • 2 small meths burners
