can't tell from the video if keeper touched it or not. also can't tell (i.e. a whistle, not crowd noise) if ref did call a goal or not. someone who knows what happened in this game know if a goal was actually awarded? throw in should have been a bit more in front of keeper for him to clear it out, which is why the throw-in was to keeper in the first place. if the ball did not touch keeper, it's a corner kick. if it did touch keeper, own goal. and embarrassing.

@omkar415star because throws lack speed and power, and are made from an angle and considerable distance from the goal. more likely a throw in attempt at the goal will be stopped by a defender or goalkeeper, not worth trying. rory delap is the best thrower in the world, his throws are known to be more like crosses than throws. he has scored a few from throw ins.

Actually, referee faill. In the book of Fifa, when you throw in to your own goal like that, with no one touching the ball, it should be a corner. The same, if an opponent throws to your goal, it should be a goalkick. I think the GK had that in mind ;)
