@clulpes55 Well, you need a screen capture software like HyperCam2 or FRAPS. Then, y0ou need a mic if you want to add narration, and since not all screen capture software can record from speakers.

@flightsimvideos2009 You're welcome to help make it not suck. I mean, hey, it's free, and you can run it on ANY OS. Every year around X-mas a new version is released, loaded with all kinds of new features. If you don't want to help develop, that's fine too, but check back on it in January or so. You'll find a brand new sim, and maybe a new opinion.

Btw, I'm soon going to be making a video comparing it to FSX and RL. You'll get to see the difference in the flight dynamics already.

I see a lot of changes that needs to be done, such as being able to bind keys etc.

I like the scenery, as its very nice.

I see this having a future potential, but at this time I dont find it even close to be competing with payware simulators.

I hope to find this better in a few years!

@Norredam What do you mean "being able to bind keys"? You can already change the keybindings and joystick bindings to whatever you want. If you don't know how, I can help you out.

@along609 That's b/c you're trying to use an out-dated version of the 787, which doesn't work with 2.0.0. Go to flightgear -dot- org / forums and look for a topic, "787 and CRJ-200 Development". You can install get the latest version there.

@0Elise0Dozzy2 Can you give more details about the situation? How is the plane behaving before the crash? What is your speed? Bank angle. Try to fly with enough speed, and not too much bank angle

@Bulletproofgb This one also requires that you first start the engines. Also, be sure to release the parking brake when ready to takeoff. Just thought you might be interested in knowing this: the 777-200 ER is the most unrealistic airliner in FG. I really don't care what you fly, but if you want a more realistic experience, I recommend the 787, the CRJ-900, or the CRJ-200. @weeeee831 Do you know anything about your graphics card? For many people that seems to be the limiting factor when it comes to getting any performance out of FG. Examples would be the integrated intel chipset (crap), ATi (has some issues), or Nvidea (best brand to go with). I'm not sure how to find that out on a Mac, though. Perhaps, googling the model number of your computer will give you some results if you have what the factory put in there.

@egertlinkmann555 When you get new scenery, you need to refresh the airport list. In FGRun, simply go to the airport select page, click refresh, wait a couple minutes, and it should be updated.

Check the file path it is looking for and see if one of the file names is wrong. If that's the case, fix it by renaming the file. If you are missing files, remove the aircraft, and try a fresh download.

Do you mean your 787 is broken, or you can't find it. I prefer to use GFS's version, but the download link is broken, so you'll have to settle for the one at unitedfreeworld . com for now.

For the Concorde, make sure you read the error carefully and try to find what it's looking for. You may have a file that is named incorrectly.

if you use ctrl+C while in cockpit, you can see where you should click, so you don't have to click 3 times. When you hear a 'click-sound' you know you actually clicked it.

Yes, the 787 is included in the base package, but it's not on the official download page either for some reason. You'll have to search the FG forum for it.

As for your other issue, what plane are you flying?

well, i use all of them. mostly the 747. but it happens to every plane. i always make sure everything is straight but nothing even when im on the grond moving a lil bit it veers off. and now ive got a new problem. lol. i downloaded more planes, and now all the planes i fly have 2 fighter jet escorts. :P i must find which plane i downloaded to make this happen.

You may have to zoom in to the throttle and then reset the camera. Sometimes the switches are frozen, so that should unfreeze them. Other people have found that waiting 10-20 seconds may work.

Well, if you use Windows or Mac, you should be able to select an icon that opens a launcher. You then select the aircraft you want to fly and your starting location, maybe change some other settings, and hit "run". If your operating system requires you to use a command line, then I have no idea, but I'm sure someone in the flightgear forum does.

Well, lag, or more importantly, framerate, is based on a huge variety of variables. Maybe you need a faster internet connection (basic DSL should be fine), or a better graphics card. If you can't afford a better graphics card, maybe upgrade your RAM (I think that's cheaper). Or, try turning off some of the eye candy stuff, by selecting View>Rendering Options and unchecking some of that. Stop any other running programs that you don't need (obviously keep security programs running).

You should have a GUI menu that runs across the top of the screen when FG is running. If not, just press F10. Then, go to Help>Toggle Glideslope Tunnel.

Btw, it completely destroys the challenge of finding and landing on a runway, so if you're confident in your ability to land, you may find using it to be boring.

I haven't flown the B777-200 in a while. I think it has an autostart feature. Just make sure you disengage the parking brake once the engines are running.

Honestly, the wiki never said to shut them off. I'm sure I don't need the battery anymore once it's started, but I just never tried shutting it off. The APU generator can actually produce a small amount of propulsion (I'm not sure if FG models this) in the case of engine failure (think miracle on the Hudson), so I just leave that on, even though FG doesn't have any bird strike scenarios.
