is this camera worth it as far as price point? and do you think this is a better deal than the canon rebel t2i? Just curious :P i can't decide between these two.. :) Thanks!
@Danieloh3145 IF you can afford the T2i I would go with that camera because it has better features and you won't have the need to upgrade from it for good amount of time. If you have a good sum of money, I would buy the T3 with some good lens and get used to the camera and then eventually sell the body and buy a T2i body. With this option, by the time you buy a T2i, you'll be familiar with SLRs and you will have a good collection of lens. :)
I am transitioning over from a digital camera and photography has peaked an interest I want to pursue. I have two questions, do you really need to purchase an entry level camera and begin learning with that or can you purchase say a Canon 7D and start with that and be future proof for the most part ??? any advise would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
@CATGAGA100 Before anything, make sure you are taking photo with a good amount of light with your Fujifilm. Secondly, make sure your ISO is on automatic. If that doesn't solve your problem then it'll be hard to work with this camera.
@EverythingISTech I just tried what you said to do but no justice :( How is the pictures in the dark out doors with the Canon?.I am curious about it because i really want to accomplish my goals in photography.
@CATGAGA100 Wow that really sucks. As far as this camera goes, I think its a fantastic camera to purchase if you want to get into photography. As far as "Dark" pictures go, you can accomplish alot because you have more options with the ISO and and lens. If you can get a decent lens with this, you can take some great photos.
@creamsicle8888 In my opinion, I would recommend the Canon 50mm EF Prime lens. Even though it has no zooming capabilities, its a great lens to take great indoor photos, etc (I have a video on it). If you want a lens that can get some good distance with zoom, I would look at the Canon 28mm-135mm or the Cannon 50mm-250mm.
Can anyone tell me how exactly do you turn off the video gain on this camera? All my footage seems to be really grainy in the background. Any suggestions?
@jaboticabal1 I do not sell these products, however you can check the link in the description box (to Amazon) and see if they deliver it to Brazil. Also, you can check local stores to see if they have the camera in stock
Dear ANYONE reading this, I'm a music producer whose looking to pickup a DSLR for around 500-600 bucks in order to take short videos with that "cinematic" look. Can anyone recommend the Canon T3 for this? and also, is there a specific LENS for the best movie quality/look?? Thanks, I'm new at this so excuse any amateurism
@17nijix Thank you!! I was just looking at the T2i specifically, and I think I will probably be going with that one. The videos on youtube I've seen are very impressive, however, I asked my friend about it, and she told me her photographer said that it's "garbage" for video...?? Please tell me he's just being a gear snob, I know how this works with the music gear world (Someone asks about a $300 mic, and someone "elite" recommends a $3,000 Neumann.... bullshit) Thanks!
@Dino.. ISO is basically the cameras when to artificially create light. Use low ISO when there's good light, high ISO in low light concerts, indoors ect. How this helps
when you are taking the picture: before you press the capture button, does what the camera is pointing at show up on the screen or do u have to look through the hole?
@SuperDEMOS123 Depends on how much light is in the scene and how high of an ISO you are using. Generally I do not have a problem with blur unless I'm shooting in a dark area with not too much light. Thats the only time I find myself needing a tripod.
@EverythingISTech Card doesn't need to be a class 10. I have both a 16GB class 10 and a 16GB Class 6. The 6 is faster. It will all depend on card quality. Sandisk Ultra 16GB SDHC 30MB/s - 133x speed vs my Kingston Ultimate X class 10 @ 100x speed. While shooting in burst (no flash), I get 13 on the Kingston and 32 on the Sandisk before it can't burst anymore.
Quality before everything else! PS, Kingston was 35$, and the Sandisk was 75$
@JFri4321 Yes but you would need a lens sufficient enough to reach the long distance. If you can, I would even look at the T2i if you can go the extra few hundred bucks because of its higher ISO. However, in the end, the lens is what will allow you to take those photos.
@xxpinkykillzxx The Canon T2 is a film camera. If you mean the T2i and the T3, they are different. However, the T3i and the T2i (The T3i is the other version of the T3) are pretty much the same.
great vid ...which one will you prefer : nikon d3100 or canon rebel t3 (at amazon nikon d3100 one has no discount) ???? if u can find me a good deal in best buy or any other site, can u send me the link plzzz :)
@darknight26081996 I would prefer the T3 for several reasons! However, before you buy THE camera, I would really recommend going to a store and playing around with the D3100 and T3 or any other cameras.
Great video. Santa brought me the T3 for Christmas. Had a Nikon which I loved, but was unable to add any lenses. I can't figure out why when I take a picture close up..but when I review it is far away. I know I have a setting wrong. Can you help?
i am interested in buying powershot sx40 hs. everybody i askes always say "you cant compare a point and shooot vs an SLR!!!!" but still we need to know...what is better about it ??? if you can, can you please tell me what is better or why we should choose this dslr vs the new sx40 hs ?
@chinh101 A few things are because the T3 has 2x the ISO capabilities than the Powershot. With a better ISO, a camera can take better photos in "Low-Light" Conditions. Additionally, you can swap out the lens on a DSLR camera-which gives a limitless amount of control to the user. The bottom line is, if you want to buy the Powershot as a "casual" photographer, then its a great camera. However, if you want to pursue a hobby in Photography, I would go with a DSLR Camera.
Hi, for Christmas, i dont know whether to get this camera,or the Canon sx40 PowerShot HS Digital. Im a beginner, but also want to take high quality pictures and zoom. Would this be good?
canon rebel T3 or canon sx30is, which one is better? im going to buy a camera and i dont know too much about this, so i hope you can help me. Thx and i really enojy the video :)
@NicolasN5 It depends. The T3 is a better camera because you can swap out the lens and you have control over almost every aspect of the features (like how much light the lens allow, exposure, ISO, etc). If you want to get into Photography, the T3 is a better choice than the SX30.
@EverythingISTech Thx a lot, im going to check more about T3 then. And cause im going to start photography classes, i think, with your advice, that Canon T3 is going to be very usefull. (sorry about my english). Thanks again.
Dude, witch camera do you consider the better deal for a beginner like me? I was planning to buy a Nikon D3100, but I saw a great deal, with the same price, for T3: Canon EOS Rebel T3 12.2MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with 18-55mm and 75-300mm Lens, Bag and 4GB Memory Card. Do you think that I have to consider this offer comparatively to D3100?
@JosiasAB I would go with your deal. However, once you buy the T3, make sure you have a CLASS 10 SD Card because that will help in processing your photos.
So, I really want this camera and the Canon Powershot SX40 HS. But, the Rebel T3 is alittle more expensive, I wanted to know which is BETTER..because the Rebel T3 doesn't have that far of a zoom, and I don't want to have to buy ANOTHER lens. But the Powershot has a NICE zoom. Plus, I'm only 13 and need a GOOD camera, mainly for photography. So in your honest opinon, does the Powershot work AS GOOD as the T3..I need to know ASAP! Please respond, thanks!C:
I'm getting this camera soon and I was wondering how the LCD screen is. I have a rebel xt, and the screen isn't too great. Just hoping you can tell that things are in focus ect.
Thanks for this video! i just bought this camera and I didnt know if it was better or the same as the Nikon D3000...I have taken pictures in regular cameras and it comes out beautiful....but now im trying to grow in photography and wanted a camera that could do that for me and more... now I see I picked the right choice! thanks again!
@SKATE4OKI Yes, but to do this effectively, you would need some right settings (you would need to experiment with it). Also, I would recommend the Canon 50mm EF Prime Lens kit for those kinds of shots.
dude, i buy this camera on black friday too, and I have a question,,,,when i testing the video mode whit low ligth and then when i watch on my pc, the video have a lot of noise, can repair this with other lenses, or the quality of the camera do not give more??? or can i repair on the settings?, im beginner, and this are my first slr,,,,,,and by the way my english sucks XD sorry if you not understand me, i hope you can answer me!!! :)
@pqw65 The reason you have alot of noise has many factors. Some things you need to keep in mind is that if there isn't much light wherever you are capturing video, you are bound to have noise. So, try to get any type of artificial lighting on the subject. Other things you can do is increase the exposure on the video and increase or decrease the ISO. The lens also has a great amount to do with the noise. The wider the aperture, the more light you let in!
@MrJohnfourtwenty There are no "HD" lens but some good lens I would recommend would be the Canon 50mm EF Prime Lens f/1.8 and the 28-135mm USM as well as the 55-250mm. It depends on what kind of photos you'll be taking. Experiment with the 18-55mm Lens kit and see what kind of shots you are taking.
@EverythingISTech Thanks, It was worth it 100% :). The lenses are Perfect for what I need it to do but I will be getting some farther zooming ones later down the line. I even got camera bag and 4gb card with it for the same price :).
@TheGameNTech It says Class 10. What a Class 10 allows you to do is pretty much process your images and save them onto your camera faster. The higher the class, the higher the speeds. Class 10 is the best speed on an SD Card and offers about 30mb/s. If you plan to shoot RAW format files, then its a necessity to have one of these.
@KourtDizzie It comes down to personal preference. I personal believe that if your buying a camera for the sole purpose of taking photos, the Nikon will do the job really nicely. If you want great photo and video, the Canon will do really great. Feel free to message me what your trying to do with your camera!
@you11114 Thank you! If you could, please like the video as well because it really helps me out. $449 is a fantastic price. You can also use the link down below in the description box!
@EverythingIsTech sweet video nice pics I might get it on black friday just like urs for 479 usd bucks I was wondering how does the camera feel cheap and flimsy since its a cheaper model and it's all plastic and tell me how u got into this
@NFphotography14 This is a great beginner DSLR camera. However, if you've owned or used DSLR cameras in the past, you can most definitely look into getting the T2i or T3i. I mean it depends on how much experience you have and so on.
@EverythingISTech Well, I took a couple of hundred photos on, I think it was a Canon 50D with a good lens kit. I only have around £300 to spend, so if possible, would you be able to scan the net and check some DSLRS out? I've just started looking at settings like aperture and shutter speed, and really finding out what they mean. So I guess I have a little knowledge because I have looked into it alot. But is it possible for you to have a look?
@EverythingISTech Have done. I was thinking about the Nikon D3000 But I'm really into canon, and I'm up to date with the interface. Whether s Nikon' interface I'm not so up to date with. I'm really stuck on looking. What about a Canon 450D with kit lens?
@EverythingISTech Sweet, I have done. Have you found anything, I've been looking at the Canon 450D or 500D But they're all so much, maybe I'll stick to this camera?
@NFphotography14 I mean that isn't a large enough budget to afford the higher end DSLR cameras. If you can save up for a few more months, then I would definitely go with a T2i. If you want the camera right now, go ahead and purchase the T3 and keep buying lens kits whenever you can. Once you have a couple of lens kits and you know a good amount about the T3 and how to manually shoot images, then sell your T3 and buy a body only of a camera of your choice! By then, you'll have experience and lens
@EverythingISTech Cheers. I'll get the T3 in April. If I have enough for the T2i then I will buy it. What kind of lens things could you get for the T3?
@EverythingISTech Okay Cheers. That's what I was thinking cos i love taking shots with blurred backgrounds. But also with a shallow depth of field. Would these lens fit on the T2i
@EverythingISTech Sweet. I'm saving a load of money, and selling some stuff. I was thinking of getting a 500D with a 18-55MM and and 75-300MM instead of getting the 550D with a single kit 18-55MM lens? Do you agree, there's a £10 price difference, the 500D costs more with the twin lens. What would you recommend. Or getting a 600D with a kit IS 18-55MM. Could you help me here?
@NFphotography14 I would go with the T2i and the single lens. If your REALLY serious about photography, it will be a GREAT choice in my opinion. The T2i has some great specs, therefore it won't get "outdated" for quite some time and you won't have to update in the nearby future. With the single 18-55mm lens kit, you'll also get a feel for how the camera operates and you'll know the basics. Then, once you have more money, upgrade your lens and keep adding to the collection :P
@NFphotography14 The only difference between the 600D and the 550D is that the 600D has an adjustable screen. So if that really matters to you, the T3i (600D) would be a good choice to, if you can justify in spending the extra money!
Hey I have a question, how do i make the image appear on the LCD screen, as if i were taking a photo like any other non-professional digital camera, and when did this camera actually came out? I might get this in a few weeks :)
thanks for the video. I am planning to buy a T3 and your video has increased my confidence :)

@NicolasN5 It depends. The T3 is a better camera because you can swap out the lens and you have control over almost every aspect of the features (like how much light the lens allow, exposure, ISO, etc). If you want to get into Photography, the T3 is a better choice than the SX30.
EverythingISTech 2 months ago
@EverythingISTech Thx a lot, im going to check more about T3 then. And cause im going to start photography classes, i think, with your advice, that Canon T3 is going to be very usefull. (sorry about my english). Thanks again.
NicolasN5 2 months ago
Dude, witch camera do you consider the better deal for a beginner like me? I was planning to buy a Nikon D3100, but I saw a great deal, with the same price, for T3: Canon EOS Rebel T3 12.2MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with 18-55mm and 75-300mm Lens, Bag and 4GB Memory Card. Do you think that I have to consider this offer comparatively to D3100?
JosiasAB 2 months ago
@JosiasAB I would go with your deal. However, once you buy the T3, make sure you have a CLASS 10 SD Card because that will help in processing your photos.
EverythingISTech 2 months ago
@JosiasAB If you want more details why I would personally go with the T3 over the D3100, just email me or message me!

Please respond, thanks!C:

i would like to use this for taking pictures of my friends skateboarding, can it take pictures like right as you press the button?
SKATE4OKI 3 months ago
@SKATE4OKI Yes, but to do this effectively, you would need some right settings (you would need to experiment with it). Also, I would recommend the Canon 50mm EF Prime Lens kit for those kinds of shots.

@EverythingISTech Thank you.

dude, i buy this camera on black friday too, and I have a question,,,,when i testing the video mode whit low ligth and then when i watch on my pc, the video have a lot of noise, can repair this with other lenses, or the quality of the camera do not give more??? or can i repair on the settings?, im beginner, and this are my first slr,,,,,,and by the way my english sucks XD sorry if you not understand me, i hope you can answer me!!! :)
pqw65 3 months ago
@pqw65 The reason you have alot of noise has many factors. Some things you need to keep in mind is that if there isn't much light wherever you are capturing video, you are bound to have noise. So, try to get any type of artificial lighting on the subject. Other things you can do is increase the exposure on the video and increase or decrease the ISO. The lens also has a great amount to do with the noise. The wider the aperture, the more light you let in!

What would a good lens be(model number) for this camera? I got it on black friday sale and would like good HD lens. lower to mid range. thanks man
MrJohnfourtwenty 3 months ago
@MrJohnfourtwenty There are no "HD" lens but some good lens I would recommend would be the Canon 50mm EF Prime Lens f/1.8 and the 28-135mm USM as well as the 55-250mm. It depends on what kind of photos you'll be taking. Experiment with the 18-55mm Lens kit and see what kind of shots you are taking.

Wal-Mart has this camera on sale for Black Friday with a Bag, 4GB SDHC Memory Card, Photo Album, and More! $479.00.

EverythingISTech 3 months ago
@EverythingISTech Thanks, It was worth it 100% :). The lenses are Perfect for what I need it to do but I will be getting some farther zooming ones later down the line. I even got camera bag and 4gb card with it for the same price :).
TheGameNTech 2 months ago
@TheGameNTech Sweet! Is your 4GB SD Card Class 10?
EverythingISTech 2 months ago
@EverythingISTech I'm not sure, How can I tell and what does that mean? Sorry for being a noob lol.
TheGameNTech 2 months ago
@TheGameNTech It says Class 10. What a Class 10 allows you to do is pretty much process your images and save them onto your camera faster. The higher the class, the higher the speeds. Class 10 is the best speed on an SD Card and offers about 30mb/s. If you plan to shoot RAW format files, then its a necessity to have one of these.

i\ve never had a camera like this before, && im looking into this one. would you recomend this? or a nikon?
KourtDizzie 3 months ago
@KourtDizzie It comes down to personal preference. I personal believe that if your buying a camera for the sole purpose of taking photos, the Nikon will do the job really nicely. If you want great photo and video, the Canon will do really great. Feel free to message me what your trying to do with your camera!
EverythingISTech 3 months ago
Great video! I would recommend that you invest in a polarizing filter if you don't already have one.

Is this camera worth getting as a beginner photographer as myself, who has had a fair amount of experience with DSLRS before?
NFphotography14 3 months ago
@NFphotography14 This is a great beginner DSLR camera. However, if you've owned or used DSLR cameras in the past, you can most definitely look into getting the T2i or T3i. I mean it depends on how much experience you have and so on.
EverythingISTech 3 months ago
@EverythingISTech Well, I took a couple of hundred photos on, I think it was a Canon 50D with a good lens kit. I only have around £300 to spend, so if possible, would you be able to scan the net and check some DSLRS out? I've just started looking at settings like aperture and shutter speed, and really finding out what they mean. So I guess I have a little knowledge because I have looked into it alot. But is it possible for you to have a look?
NFphotography14 3 months ago
@NFphotography14 Yes, I will take a look and send you a message soon!

EverythingISTech 3 months ago
@EverythingISTech Have done. I was thinking about the Nikon D3000 But I'm really into canon, and I'm up to date with the interface. Whether s Nikon' interface I'm not so up to date with. I'm really stuck on looking. What about a Canon 450D with kit lens?
NFphotography14 3 months ago
@EverythingISTech Sweet, I have done. Have you found anything, I've been looking at the Canon 450D or 500D But they're all so much, maybe I'll stick to this camera?
NFphotography14 3 months ago
@NFphotography14 I mean that isn't a large enough budget to afford the higher end DSLR cameras. If you can save up for a few more months, then I would definitely go with a T2i. If you want the camera right now, go ahead and purchase the T3 and keep buying lens kits whenever you can. Once you have a couple of lens kits and you know a good amount about the T3 and how to manually shoot images, then sell your T3 and buy a body only of a camera of your choice! By then, you'll have experience and lens
EverythingISTech 3 months ago
@EverythingISTech Cheers. I'll get the T3 in April. If I have enough for the T2i then I will buy it. What kind of lens things could you get for the T3?
NFphotography14 3 months ago
@NFphotography14 I would get the 18-55mm Lens, then the Canon 50mm EF Prime Lens kit f/1.8 as my first two lens.
EverythingISTech 3 months ago
@EverythingISTech Okay Cheers. That's what I was thinking cos i love taking shots with blurred backgrounds. But also with a shallow depth of field. Would these lens fit on the T2i
NFphotography14 3 months ago
@NFphotography14 Yep! All canon lens fit any EOS series cameras.
EverythingISTech 3 months ago
@EverythingISTech Sweet. I'm saving a load of money, and selling some stuff. I was thinking of getting a 500D with a 18-55MM and and 75-300MM instead of getting the 550D with a single kit 18-55MM lens? Do you agree, there's a £10 price difference, the 500D costs more with the twin lens. What would you recommend. Or getting a 600D with a kit IS 18-55MM. Could you help me here?
NFphotography14 3 months ago
@NFphotography14 I would go with the T2i and the single lens. If your REALLY serious about photography, it will be a GREAT choice in my opinion. The T2i has some great specs, therefore it won't get "outdated" for quite some time and you won't have to update in the nearby future. With the single 18-55mm lens kit, you'll also get a feel for how the camera operates and you'll know the basics. Then, once you have more money, upgrade your lens and keep adding to the collection :P
EverythingISTech 3 months ago
@EverythingISTech But if I can afford it, why shouldn't I go straight to the 600D?
NFphotography14 3 months ago
@NFphotography14 The only difference between the 600D and the 550D is that the 600D has an adjustable screen. So if that really matters to you, the T3i (600D) would be a good choice to, if you can justify in spending the extra money!
