  • I thought they speak portugese.

  • Sorry for all the questions - Just curious, where were you headed? Do you know what route you were on? Going east or west? Which way was the coastline? Thanks

  • I liked your video very much. I love street scenes. I have always been interested in EG as it is the only Spanish speaking country in Africa. I noticed the music in the background wasn't Spanish. Do most people understand Spanish? Also, it looked like you were in a fairly affluent area. Is this typical? Do you see other Westerners there? How did people receive you? Was it very very hot? How long were you there? What was it that your friend in the back seat was given by the girl on the street?

  • people there speak french and spanish but mostly spanish. the educated one speak english in addition to spanish. i lived on the island of bioko for 3 years. im an american. they love the music your hearing and also western rap. why i dont know. lots of corruption there poor stay poor and the presidents family are rich of course. there quite a few westerners there. cuz of the iol industry. and ambient temps are 85-90 always

  • @gigauma. Thanks you for your interest; I am an E.G. national and pleased to unswer some of your questions:

Spanish is our official language but we also speak our african/tribal dialects (5: Fang, Bubi, Ndowe, Bisio and Annobonés). Spanish remains for the administration (schools, offices etc.) and for inter-tribal communications. Nowadays, in some families, youth only speak Spanish. Background music is a local singer. The girl gave him a phone top-up card, commonly sold in the streets. Txs.

  • @gigauma You should continue having interest in Equatorial Guinea. Not many hispanophones know the country exists but now, it's becoming evident that Equatorial Guinea is the only Spanish speaking nation in Africa. Interesting! :)

  • Bata

  • Nice vid.. What part of EG where you in?
