I have a 1992 and I'm about to get the 5.7 liter 350 TPI put in and I'm gonna get a true dual custom exhaust welded up :) I can't wait to hear what mine will sound like if your 5.0 sounds this good!
I put in hedders in my.1985 iroc z..my car was loud ass fukk with no jedders i take it to d muffler shop to get my exhaust welld it on nd my shitt sounds like almost a stok camaro wtbbbbbeepp did dey do wrong helppp me
run the pipe out the front of the rear wheels straight pipes no cats with headers, just make sure u use clamps in case u get a fix it ticket to throw on the cat quick to pass inspection...that's how i did mine...and yes it's fuckin loud
@xAstinos89 the best way to do it is to run it down the stock location. keeps everything neat and tucked up under the car no clearance issues either.. its not hard to do at all. i wouldnt suggest dumping it infront of the axle like alot of people do because the only way that will pass inspection in most states is with a wink and a handshake... not to mention clearance issues...
beautiful car dude. I have an 86 z28, and the guy at the exhaust shop told me there wasnt room under my car to do true dual exhaust. Either he's a complete dumbfuck, or did you do some modding to get the true duals in there?
im wondering how you have room for it to i was going to put them on my camaro but if i did i would have almost no clearence. did you find away around it or are you just dealing with the clearence issues
wondering how you ran the "true duals" with the way the crossmember is made on these cars True it can be done but one would definately have to hang lower than the other unless you ran them on the same side of the crossmember ;) Have 92 here myself. Bought it new and still got it. T-5 had to go. Richmond 6-speed is the shit
Hi, I have the same car with a 350, and i was wondering how you did True duals. A guy i talked to said true duals don't work with these cars due to space restraints.
@redwing1126 How do you figure that? Most of the time when people have issues with their engine when they straight pipe it, its because they are constantly running it hard so they can hear the pipes and be loud. If you drive it normally it's not going to hurt anything and usually its the rings that burn out not the valves.
@camaroman1992 This is true. If your bein abnoctious you're probly gonna break somethin. But at any rate its not good to drive your car all the time with no back pressure.
@redwing1126 I wouldn't run straight pipes anyway I decided not to do it cause its almost to loud inside the car the way it is now and its a daily driver so I don't want it to give me a headache while I'm driving and plus its $1000 ticket where I live plus you have to put the exhaust back to stock and I don't want to have to do that
@camaroman1992 I've got flowmaster 40's on mine. 2 1/2 from the headers to a central 3", into the muffler, back into 2 1/2 w/ chrome turn downs. Sounds pretty beast to me. haha
Still waiting for that under car shot sir.......................... I had true duals on one of these and sounded compleely different than this,so we all are waiting for the proof...........................that is what I thought.
I don't understand why people don't believe it's true duals. The Y pipes are famous for having un-equal exhaust pressure, giving one tail pipe more pressure. No under car shot is needed. Are you running non-crossover duals?
Hey man, did you buy the car with a 5.7 liter in it already, or did you put that engine in there? I have the same year z28 with a 5.0 liter in it. I want a 5.7 liter

@camaroman1992 unless your engine is built for that you're going to end up replacing valves.
