  • engine 1 does not have to be in reverse thrust, it could be to save fuel some 747s taxi with some engines off some pepole think to stop an aircraft you need all the engines with reverse thrust thats not true its not all the braking power the brakes on a 747 are made out of carbon and can make the plane stop failry quickly but has the risk of overheating and catching fire so it is used slightly on long runways in other words reverse is help.

  • Excellent! Nice! Thanks

  • Perfect landing!

  • ant they eddies not them vorty things you on about ?

  • Great video.. I really am obsessed now to get a full HD camera too :P

  • wouldn't those vortexes in the middle spin the other way? or is it because the elevator pulls the air upwards so the vortexes spin in that direction?

  • "Vortices" not "Vortexes" :)

    Nice catch sir!

  • Just beautiful! Your videos just get better and better.

  • Crystal clear quality as always Simon. Loved it.

  • Engine 1 not reversing ?

  • @speedbird7471 Nice catch, notice that the pilot uses a little bit of left rudder to compensate it, not much... another peculiar thing is how the nose bounces upon touchdown, did you noticed that?

  • @huracan200173 Yes i did, must be quite uncomfortable for the pilots.

  • @speedbird7471 that is a good eye, I wonder why, crosswind correction maybe?

  • @speedbird7471 it's down

  • @speedbird7471 perhaps they left it at idle to counter act the wind?

  • Cathay looking stunning in 1080p!

  • @SimsFan747 yes.

  • Cathay Pacific Airways!

  • HOLY FING BALLS!

  • How can you tell from that angle?
