I wonder if the guest stars got to choose the characters they wanted to work with?

@selamarina According to the book "Of Muppets and Men", the Muppet Show crew would ask the guests who they would like to work with. The common answer was Miss Piggy, and the crew was fine with that, although they would also try to have the guests work with other Muppets. Season 5 guest Glenda Jackson was pretty much "I'll work with whatever you give me". I personally would love to work with the monsters :)
