I saw this at the drive-in when I was about 8 then didn't see it for several decades. I was astonished by how much I remembered, from the hand at the site to the scene on the truck; from her sketching the figure to the walk into the sea. Something about this movie must have touched me because I've always loved it; even when I read reviews that attack it, I do not waiver in my devotion to this movie. I was very lucky to have a film buff father who took us to movies that weren't mainstream.
The music in this always creeped me out as a kid...still does =)
