Not all Europe is the same though. Here in the UK we use miles instead of kilometres and for a person's weight we use ounces and stones, but for the weight of an object it will be grams and kilograms. For petrol we use gallons but for consumable liquids we use litres and mililitres.

Still, back then the Royal Navy were second to none, so even in the sea Hitler was finished, as in the air, after the Battle of Britain, the German air force was battered.
American intervention helped, but was not vital.

Britain was retreating at Dunkirk, and France was under occupation. And no one was fighting the Japanese. America saved Europe, while at the same time single-handedly fought and defeated Japan. If it weren't for America, the world would be a lot different today...

And it was only USA vs Japan, you obvbiously were unaware that the Soviet Union declared war on Japan in 1945.The USSR liberated all of Manchuria, which is larger than France.
