I've had CVS and AMS since I was four. I'm currently on an IEP in my public schooling. I can't bring myself to speak up to my teachers and say, 'I've been sick. I have /not/ been able to work. The only reason why I'm here, is because my cycle's broken.' I'm still going to doctors. I'm still going. We can do this. You can do this. I can do this.
I had it for seven years from the age of 11-18. What helped me the most was learning to deal with stress in a healthy way. I haven't been sick once in the past 4 years. Keep fighting the good fight people. Ill pray for you all.
im 18years old I just got diagnosed with CVS 5 days ago and i have been getting sick for 2 years. It is horrible I have an attack an attack every morning. Somtimes vomiting up to 10 times in less than a 30 minets An attack can come at anytime but most of the time I can get through the late afternoon and evening without getting sick. I have migraines and body aches. I have changed my diet many times with no results but I am glad someone can escape this horrible thing.
thanks for sharing, I have suffered from cyclic vomiting syndrome for the last 2 and a half year. I cannot imagine what my childhood would have been like have I had the desease all my life. 'm so glad to hear about your daughter getting better, it gives me hope I will too. I am thankful my episodes are usually only 3-5 days although their impact on my life is huge!
This is a great article about Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders which are related to cyclic vomiting syndrone (sorry bout the choppy url, youtube doesn't allow outside links.) foodsmatter. com/allergy_intolerance/egids/articles/egids_by_lj . html

thank u my family thinks im just a drug addict i also was a straight A student before this started about 3 years @ 18 and iam 21. my parents arent really good parents actually there quite the opposite. they think im making this up so i can smoke marijuana or get pills or whatever, its just an excuse n "its all in my head" yeah right more like its all outa my head as it comes spewing out reoccuring over n over til i just feel like passing out.
Thank you for sharing your story. Just recently, after going through tests via hospital and doctors, I finally remembered my mom testing me for food allergies. I tested both my daughter and myself for these and found that my daughter's colon pain, headaches, inability to wake up in the morning and sleep at night, were due to gluten and rice. Since she and I are g-free, VOILA! no more problems, no more docs, all is well!
