Gracias Ralph, Chile es como un tren...largo, con voluntad de hierro, cada pueblo o ciudad es un vagon, el vapor de nuestro esfuerzo es el alma de esta vieja locomotora y en estas ocasiones tan dificiles, en que los rieles de muchos se han cortado, lo empujamos entre todos!!!

La tonada se sigue cantando; el tren desapareció. Lo único que sigue corriendo es el vino Macaya con la nostalgia de los que nunca han sido derrotados que siguen creyendo y saben esperar.

Narrativa también para el hacedor del film El tren del vino. Ese tren cuando Chile era inteligente y progresista iba de Santiago a Pichilemu. Lo borraron, desde Peralillo hasta Pichilemu, el gobierno le vendió a los japoneses los rieles y se perdió toda una tradición de nuestros emprendedores antepasados. Hay una canción de Jorge Aravena LLanca que dice "De Santiago a pichilemu, hay que pasar por Placilla,/ donde el sol hinca su nombre/dorando el fruto en las viñas...

Hermoso video, pero el "Tren del Vino" va desde San Fernando hasta SANTA CRUZ y no Santa Ana.

Tambien se puede agregar que la locomotora 820 del "Tren de la Araucania" es del tipo "Montaña".

If you have a look at one of my other videos, La Trochita, you will see that it had open vestibule coaches and on that train we did 340 miles in 3 days. I spent a lot of time when I wasn't on the footplate, sitting on the top step, feet on the lower one, just watching the world go by. Magic....

There was far more clearance than it seems. Anyway unlike the UK where 'Elf & Safety' rules, there, if you got your head bashed then it's your own fault for not being careful, not the railways for giving you the chance to do it...

I note that you can always tell an enthusiast special by the numbers hanging out of the windows!
