More than likely the council did it for an excuse to demolish it and build modern flats. Since it was a listed building, they couldn't demo it unless it's classed as a danger. The metal sheets they put up over the windows recently are probably to cover there arses

great video by the way,brought back so many memories of the old place with school and the BB's ( they used the hall for a couple of years).Yeh the council are good at excuses to do things. they're a shower of lier's and cheat's who are only in it for the cash. @TeEnZiE Not likely. WLC had planning consent for the building to be split into flats. They had brochure's ot the plans printed, hopeing to sell the building. WLC are now back to the start.
