Mozart is hot. I mean, a rockstar of the 18th century who died young and made the most brilliant music ever. How can you not look up to him, how can you not love him? Mozart is beautiful.
Despite its moods including the ominous, the forlorn, and downright frightening, I think the allegro of Mozart's 25th symphony is one of the most beautiful and brilliant pieces of music ever written. In many ways I think this G minor movement outdoes his much more famous molto allegro in the "great" G minor symphony #40.

People dislike like classical because they don't quite understand it. It takes alot of gettng used to to let the music play you. The hard part is letting it, and opening your mind to it. Thats why alot more people prefer todays more popular music, because the words basicly tell you what to feel and the feelings aren't as complex as the unnamed emotions that soar thourgh oneself when listening to classical. This is the best I can do in explaining it... and it isn't even close.

I think the way that you classified these pieces into "Scary", "Funny", "Exciting" and "Beautiful" was very clever. Especially "Funny"... Mozart definitely would have appreciated that one! :-)
Great list -- I do agree with the C Minor mass. But I some of Mozart's operatic works for the voice should come in. Many of them are very funny (too many examples!), terrifying (Don Giovanni a cenar techo!, Der Holle Rache...), lonely (Pamina's aria 'Ach, ich fuehls' in Zauberfloete), achingly beautiful (the Countess's forgiveness in Figaro, and the duet from that as well), etc.
I think Symphony No. 25-I should count for all of the categories. At parts it is funny, exciting, scary and beautiful. It is probably one of his best pieces ever written, if not one of the best of that era.

You grow to love them more and other music starts to sound very thin.

I think the way that you classified these pieces into "Scary", "Funny", "Exciting" and "Beautiful" was very clever. Especially "Funny"... Mozart definitely would have appreciated that one! :-)

Great list -- I do agree with the C Minor mass. But I some of Mozart's operatic works for the voice should come in. Many of them are very funny (too many examples!), terrifying (Don Giovanni a cenar techo!, Der Holle Rache...), lonely (Pamina's aria 'Ach, ich fuehls' in Zauberfloete), achingly beautiful (the Countess's forgiveness in Figaro, and the duet from that as well), etc.

I think Symphony No. 25-I should count for all of the categories. At parts it is funny, exciting, scary and beautiful. It is probably one of his best pieces ever written, if not one of the best of that era.

Kids are fascinated with Beiber because of his image, haircut and attitude, not the content of the music that is provided for him to perform! @weeny069 - In my youth I questioned if people really enjoyed classical music or if it was all about snob value - this comes from a member of a cultured household - parents took us to ballets and concerts from around the age of 10+. We spent many nights going to sleep to strains of classical music coming from the living room. StilI I wondered how people could enjoy this music. The melodies stick with you as you mature. You grow to love them more and other music starts to sound very thin.

Which, I think, we all deem as pretentious pompous phonies, mr. Holden. Some documents even suggest Mozart's father, Leopold, lied about Mozart's true age so that he could bask, at a longer rate, in glory as the wondrous child prodigy he was.

@tBusket The idea of symphonies being marvellous, gracious and beautiful gets twisted and idiotic when people try to bitch about Bieber being too loved compared to Mozart. It's contemporary music, that is all. If Mozart's music is truly better than that of Bieber's then it will prove itself when some years have passed. Who do you think people will remember after 100 years, Justin Bieber or Amadeus Mozart?
P.S. If Mozart would have been a poor vagrant musician, he would not have gotten far.

I really hate the fact that beiber has fans, because he has no -amazing- talent, or interesting\inovative content in his music.
By the way, I assume you don't know, but Lady GaGa was playing classical music when she was young, since she was 4, and now she compose and write her own songs, so not all artist on these days are empty and only depend on their image :)
