  • Ok,the sankirtana in the end made me cry...

  • srila praphupad very beautifully shakes his head while playing mridanga. infact srila praphupad is as attractive as krishna is.

  • Not the Illuminati man, It's Maya. And give damning yourself everyday when you wake up because life is not meant to live sensually and vainly. Chant and be happy. :)

  • Smooth Operator!

  • I do not think that you are reborn to a different culture, You stay within your own. This man Prabhupada will never be reborn as a white man. Sorry, but that's wishful thinking on his part. Can't and never did happen in the past. But his own culture is moving into another realization, of what can be. Possibly by the influence of other cultures he encounters. But only upon acceptance of those ideals, can one grow their own culture to a higher understanding.

  • so true

  • My instinct has always told me the soul is immortal but it's virtually impossible to witness on this earth. Prabhupada touches on real truths.. many thanks

  • sorry this might be a dumb question but is this man a hindu?

    can someone tell me

  • Hindu is a modern word used to describe the people of the Indus river valley area of India. He is a Bengali Vaishnava, devotee of Lord Caitanya and Radha Krsna coming recently throught the six Goswamis, or 6 renounced saints of Vrndavana, specifically Sri Rupa Goswami. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta is Srila Prabhupada's guru, known as the lion guru. Bhakti reformers, for equal non sectarian treatment of all including women, animals, all castes, religions, ultimately for love of Godhead; Krsna.

  • hindu is a designation related to the people of the Indus river valley, now in Pakistan. nonetheless, term has been widely accepted, though it has no mention in any scripture. This is A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, founder and eternal master of the Hare Krsna Movement,. a Bengali style Vaisnava, devotee of Radha -Krsna and Sri Caitanya, in succession from Krsna to Madhva to Caitanya to Rupa Goswami to Bhaktivinode, Bhaktisiddhanta, to our Srila Prabhupada. Nice question! More!

  • Why is this may so decorated and pampered?

if you have a knowledgeable answer please private message me.

  • In Hindu culture, Guru (Spiritual Master) is considered as good as god as he is the tool / way to achieve god's grace. Because he has knowledge and (culturally) he gives it without any expectation. So We offer flower to Spiritual Master, make every service to him which is possible (which may be wrongly understood as pampering :) ). I appreciate your eagerness to understand the culture.

    Rahul

  • JAI PRABHUPADA!

  • Jai Prabhupada Jai Gurudeva

    we are the soul

thanks to you we are going back home

and teaching to us the 4 regulative principals to happiness

in this life and beyond the way to Krishna Consciousness

  • Excellent!

A wealth of spiritual knowledge in under 10 minutes!

    Prabhupada is amazing!

  • Agreed! He makes the English word "pondering," look amateur.

  • Mr.TordGrip...for your information that is "Sri Gandham", try it once...you will feel that your head is really kool.

I request you to understand the concept which Prabhupada is teaching, he is not a religious teacher for sure. If that was the case, how can you see so many Hare Krishna devotees all over the world?...especially in the western world. People are attracted just because he is teaching truth that is quite apparent.

  • what this man says here i feel to be true , but why on earth is he allowing them to worship him.....he is but a voice of the "operator" not the "operator" himself. He deserves our respect and friendship not worship. I mean no disrespect but that is what I feel to be true

  • "The spiritual master is to be honoured as much as the Supreme Lord as He is the most confidential servitor of the Lord."Its there in scripture I think the Bhagavad Gita.He doesnt desire to be worshipped in fact He is the only one who doesnt but He has to accept it as His duty God orders Him to.Its actually good for us to offer Him worship.

  • @DarkDragoon83

He has studied the Knowledge of god to the fullest extend.

begun in new york with nothing till spreading books over the World!!

and try to the fullest extend explain to everybody about this to bring peace knowledge

    to the people arround him.

He is qualified and Bona fide Spirtual master, one has to see in that His work is a of significance

in the opposite of the illuminati and dull people created in society even in 2011.

    By understanding God,

    Hare Krsna

  • @DarkDragoon83 I know this reply is very-very late but people are not worshiping him , they are showing respect toward their Guru. In hinduism the Guru Tradition is valued greatly and the Guru is considered above God as he/she is the one who takes us closer to god.

  • The videos are so nice, but I fear the conspiracy theory stuff about the Illuminati is smudging the beauty for many. What does it add to Srila Prabhupada?

  • Fly looking for the sores.

By the why do you ASSociate with the illuminati controlled iskcon soul killing cult?

  • @mukunda108 Because Prabhupada said " I AM ISKCON" How do you get over that statement when you call ISKCON such names? It is simply this one fear or respect or whatever it is you call that. I see so many faults but I can't disassociate myself from ISKCON. I guess its like when you marry one person, you may see better partners, you may see lots of faults in your partner. But the right thing to do is stick to your partner and pray to Krishna and Prabhupada for help.

  • @cofeerush What you call iskcon is actually maya iskcon

  • @mukunda108 On one hand you say Prabhupada is great on the other hand you say he was poisoned. I think being that he was as pure as Prahlad Maharaja, no amount of Hiranyakashipus tortures or punishment could effect him. Prabhupada used this example. He said if we stay pure nothing can effect us. Are you saying otherwise? Do you think anyone would have ANY say on when our dear Srila Prabhupada left this world except for he himself and Krishna?

  • @cofeerush Prabhupada is always under the protection of Krishna still there was an attempt by the envious to kill Prabhupada. POINT IS.... AVOID ASSOCIATION OF THE ENVIOUS if you want to progress towards Prabhupada and Krishna, SIMPLE, don't complicate things by projecting on to me straw man arguments about Prabhupada.

  • @mukunda108 All glories to your service Prabhuji. I am not trying to project anything onto you. Prabhupada said you know you are doing something right when you have people that are envious. I don't think yours is a good enough excuse to abandon the home he kindly built. Why don't we undo all the changes so our fathers house is up to his desired standard? Maybe we lack the authority to make changes but that hasn't stopped us from doing the little we do. Like you post all these arguments.

  • @mukunda108 In a more clearer explanation across several ashramas, Srila Prabhupada said he was poisoned. In context, he was referring to no one but the world. He considers the world as a poison. And for you to transcend spiritually, you must resist the world and it materialisms as if a diabetic resistic sugared foods.

  • @ampleoppourtunity SPECULATION MY FRIEND.

  • b/c he was murdered by the illuminati

  • Attempt was made to murder Prabhupada FOR SURE. The evidence is CLEAR!!! Prabhupada was always protected by Krishna that is sure also!

  • conspiracies are not always theories sometimes they are fact.

  • Bah! Shiva is better. I pray to Shiva.

  • Do you know who is Siva?

  • Swami Prabhupada is beautifully reiterating the spiritual truths here. That "i am the Spirit, not this body" is something u will find again and again in the "shastras" or Indian spritual traditions.

  • The problem is that he still belongs to a religion which in a small way makes him not so wise...religions are made to "divide" people...

  • Krishna Consciousness is not a religion. IT IS THE SCIENCE OF GOD!

  • Yes spirituality doesn't always mean religion.

  • Religions were not always ment to divide people. Before China became communist/athiest it was common to find chinese ppl claiming to believe in multiple religions (taoism/buddhism/etc) at the same time. Indians didn't even have a word for "Religion" as understood in the west. Once buddhism/jainism/hinduism etc were once considered to be just different paths towards the same goal. It is unfortunate that the abrahamic religions developed the concept that religions must be exclusive of each other.

  • Mike Robinson: Can you tell me what you believe--what the philosophy of the Hare Krsna movement is?

Srila Prabhupada: Yes. Krsna consciousness is not a question of belief; it is a science. The first step is to know the difference between a living body and a dead body. What is the difference?

  • The difference is that when someone dies, the spirit soul, or the living force, leaves the body. And therefore the body is called "dead." So, there are two things: one, this body; and the other, the living force within the body. We speak of the living force within the body. That is the difference between the science of Krsna consciousness, which is spiritual, and ordinary material science.

  • I have some question....where does this living force come from ? to leave this body?...where is it origin? and wat is the reason for its origin?

  • There is no origin within limited material time. The differences between you and Krsna define your relationship with Godhead. Godhead expands into infinte Beings with varieties of potencies and forms and natures, all one, yet none exactly alike. Demigods, demons, men, alines, plants, rivers, all contain the spark of God that they are. You are He, but related as tiny soul relative to Supreme Godhead. In short, the energies, shaktis come from the shaktiman, Krsna. We are to share love eternally.

  • As such, in the beginning it is very, very difficult for an ordinary man to appreciate our movement. One must first understand that he is a soul, or something other than his body.

  • jai guru deva om

  • Thank you so much for posting these videos on youtube. I will be downloading them, saving them, and implementing the audio into media projects (flash animations) so as to educate the MASS of people in America who are clueless to these teachings. They changed my life when I was only 14, now I feel terribly that the next generation needs to hear it.

  • Thanks.

    Jaya Prabhupada!!!

  • Everyone in the world needs to hear this! we are eternal but not in the physical form...

  • My view of trying to know God and living life the right way would prevent me from sitting up on an elegant seat like he was. If I were a true teacher of God then I would sit on the ground with my students and there would not be any type of imagery that would hold me on a higher level than my fellow students. I do agree with a lot that he has to say though about coming to know the lord.

  • Woman: You have said that you are very small and that you are not God, and yet it appears to me as an outsider that the devotees treat you as if you were God.

Prabhupada: Yes, that is devotee's duty. Just like a government officer. Personally he is not very important, but so long he executes government order, he should be respected as government. That is the way. Even a ordinary policeman comes, you have to respect him because he is government man. But that does not mean he is government.

  • He is respected. Saksad-dharitvena samasta-sastrair uktas tatha bhavyata eva sadbhih. If that man thinks that "I have become government. People are respecting me," then he is foolish. So... But it is the etiquette. If the government man comes, you should respect him as government.

  • Woman: Along the same idea, I wonder also about the many beautiful material things that the devotees bring to you, and, for instance, when you left the airport, you left in a beautiful, big, fancy car, and I wonder about this because...

  • Prabhupada: That is teaching them how to respect. If you respect government man as government, then you must treat him like that.

    Woman: But...

Prabhupada: If you respect spiritual master as God, then you must offer him the facilities of God. Otherwise how you treat him as God? Simply in mind? In action also.

  • Woman: I'm sorry. What was the last you said?

Prabhupada: If the spiritual master is treated as God, so he must show, practically show, that he is treating as God. So God travels by golden car. So if the spiritual master is offered ordinary motor car, so still it is not sufficient, because he has to be treated like God. What is this motor car for God? (laughter) They are still deficient. If God comes to your home, will you bring Him in ordinary motor car or you would arrange for a golden car?

  • If you treat him as God? So your point is that they offer me nice motor car, but I say that is not sufficient. That is still lacking to treat him as God. Be practical.

  • By trying to adopt the cultural norms and dress peculiar to one part of India (bald heads, robes, feather fans, music) it seems to me the followers missing the whole point of the lecture.

  • No this dress sense is the original dress of the Lord and his associates in the spiritual world.

  • hey fuck you right tube, im gonna kill you

  • you are sooooo envious and nasty, you will probably become a stinging nettle in your next incarnation.

  • He's missed a bit of shaving foam, on his forehead.

  • The man speaks alot of sense I think, but why is he so worshipped?

  • Because he is the representative of God and is awakening people to their eternal relationships with Krishna [God] therefore he is honoured! SIMPLE!!!

  • this has nothing to do with religion. machines cannot function without an operator. (creator or god) the universe can't just magically appear without a creator.

  • the end is nigh worship god or die

  • Body dies, soul is enternal.

  • Exactly! we only die in "physical" form but not in the spiritual form, that means we "ARE" eternal but not physically! we are and we always have been...

  • Hare Krishna!

  • It is amazing to see this man speak true christian values ansd clearly be of another religion.

  • yes, I see that all religions are very similar in essence

  • Yes they are.

  • this teaching was existing five thousand years ago.
