  • Well thank god some people see this as it do.

    Scout= dash

    Heavy=Mr.incredible

    Viloate=spy

    Elastagirl=Anouncer

  • The Heavy is Mr. Incredible without super powers!!!!

  • The incredibles and Team fortress certainly share a lot in common design-wise, both influenced by 1950's American art styles, both fit in the action spy thriller genre and since they're both 3D characters that just seals the deal in terms of appearance. Both are superb, artistic franchises :) Pixar and Valve should collaborate on something (or maybe they already have dunno) it would be amazing I'm sure.

  • The game looks just like the incredibles and the music in the movie and the game have the same jazzy style with that trumpet

  • I am tempted to dislike this because you like Twilight...Shudder...

  • Someone told me that one of the Incredibles animators worked on TF2 or vice versa.

  • newbiemember . deviantart . com/#/d2f1izz

    Picture related.

  • This is the only youtube video I have ever seen without suggestions. Now thats specific.

  • i never thought of comparing the incredibles and team fortress my life is forever changed

  • Frozone is a spy too?! :O

  • Still no plans for a movie yet?

  • sadly, tf2 wins, because they have bullets, and they would die in a failed attempt to outsmart the bullets.

  • nice vid

  • seems that BAB13100 is right O.o

  • @pepsiman1117 Seems that my tits are small :c

  • i have no idea but when i first bought the orange box for the pc, and i saw tf2, that was the only game i hadi hadnt played until a whole year later. i really had a feeling this was somewhat related to the incredibles lol

  • It seems 31 people missed the like button. :D

  • @BAB13100 yep

  • @TheAmazingDom You know, I'm seriously starting to think that some dysfunctional people ARE missing the like button! XD

  • @BAB13100 Hand tremors, stuff like that. Lol

  • @TheAmazingDom No, maybe, WHAT IF, they are fapping so hard, all day everyday that they have this sudden urge to fap when they are using their mouses. They spaz out in a weird function that, in the end, causes them to SLAM the mouse on the dislike button.........idk. Just go with it.

  • @BAB13100 sure. Makes them look stupid. Good idea.

  • This Fai-*SLAP* I mean Wins =D

  • i wish they had those darker clothes

  • @IMAcomPOSER

you can find skins of them on fpsbanana

  • The game does have similar art style to The Incredibles and the characters look similar. Btw this is a great video cause the music worked really well.

  • weird incredibles never came to mind playing tf2

  • this game always reminded me of the Incredibles for some reason. XD

  • its the song playing and the animation, it really to me (because this the first time and vid ive ever seen of team fortress) the increadbles 3(after the underminer)

  • @SalsaBrosProductions Toon shading graphic?

  • @SalsaBrosProductions animation and music.

  • Just thought of something else. Chell's jumpsuit in 'Portal' lo0ks a lot like the jumpsuits worn by Axiom passengers in 'WALL-E'. Wall-E himself has a Black Mesa motif (even to the point that he lo0ks like one of the robot loaders combined with a forklift) while Eve has an Aperture motif (surgical white and stark black accented with a single color).

  • Heavy = Mr. Incredible. Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device = Eve. Gordon Freeman = Wall-E (humanized). Eli Vance = Frozone. Plus, Syndrome uses Zero Point Energy.

Gotta wonder if the Valve artists and Pixartists didn't all study at CalArts (in ro0m A-113). XD

  • Frozone kind of reminds me more of the Demoman then Eli. Not just because they look similar, but also because of the thing where Frozone makes the trail of ice so he could glide near the final battle kind of reminds me of sticky-jumping.

  • That works to0. Eve also lo0ks kind of like an Aperture turret. Wall-E also lo0ks kind of like those robot loaders in Half-Life and Opposing Force. Plus, there are lots of forklifts and towabale generators throughout the Half-Life series that remind me of Wall-E.

  • Thank for everyones comments

  • damnit it goes so well with it

  • I thought TF2 WAS Incredibles when I first saw clips of it in YTPs, I thought they were scenes I didn't remember or were cut out. Heavy looks like Bob, the Demoman looks like Frozone, the Scout runs fast like Dash, Violet turns invisible like the spy. It could be influenced by the movie or Pixar, not a bad influence for a 3D rendered game. They both have the jazzy music, you can use the TF2 outro as a preview of The Incredibles.

  • At first, when I saw Team Fortress 2, I thought it was some Pixar movie, that was'nt for kids!

    I swear, Pixar's anamation looks like TF2!

  • I want the spys pistol in this video to normal TF 2 and demomans dynamite

  • i heard ther coming out twith the incredibles 2

  • wouldn't cool if the heavy stared as a villain henchman

  • Someone needs to make an "Incredibles"-style map for TF2, that would be awesome. :D

  • I agree with you there! I would love to see an "Incredibles" style map for Team Fortress 2.

  • Cool! I always thought someone should make a Team Fortress 2 video and have somthing from The Incredibles put in, because Team Fortress 2 (including the "Meet the Team" videos) DOES remind me of The Incredibles.

  • Yea, it does; The art style does look like something Pixar did. They must've gotten the influence from it.

  • Actually the first time i saw TF2 it remind me of the incredibles. Nice video

  • thats the same thing that went through my mind

  • Yeah, and Wall-E reminds me of Portal XD, do you think Pixar and Valve, are working together?

  • But Of course, they are both spies

  • EVE has the same style of the portalgun

  • they actually do look like the incredibles

  • at 1:05 the background skull looks like grevious (General Grevious from star wars episode 3)

  • Very true

  • lol i never noticed that, it does.

  • the spy has a nice tie

  • too bad u dont look like most of those characters in the game and the guns are totally different and when the pyro was in that room th sign was from tfc!

  • This commercial was from the early beta of the game in 2006. You can actually download the skin for the beta char's at fpsbanana.

  • I don't know, but i think it is the graphig, but evry time i have seen team fortress 2, it has alway reminds me about the incredebles.

  • Since TF2 and The Incredibles are both set to happen in the 60's, it natural that they pick the same art of music, and it's probably also where VALVe got their ideas to TF2, or at least some of them.

  • Thats not true at all. The Incredibles takes place in the present. Valve got inspiration from the general Pixar animation style. not just the incredibles

  • Then how comes they use a lot of 50's and 60's elements in the first 10 minutes of the movie, and then skips ONLY 15 years? Meaning they should be around 1965-75 at that time?

    By 50's and 60's elements, I mean:

    low quality interview camera

Old concept costumes (seriously, only superman still runs around in that crap)

    The good old car chase

The style of the cars (No car looks like a box on wheels today)

And the style of the newspaper sequence.

    Can you follow me now?

  • I don't think the mics they used in the interviews will have been invented in the 50s and 60s though. I could be wrong.

  • man i loved the way they made the spy in this one

but then they changed it T^T

  • TF2 has always reminded me of the Incredibles. ALWAYS

  • Hey, it actually knida works

  • The Spy looks cool, except for the arm bands that look i little similar to what the nazis wore.

  • its deleted in the original release

  • Gotta love FPSbanana for supplying me with skin mods so that the spy CAN have arm bands... Hehe...

  • Bah, political correctness can suck my fat, hairy ass.

  • The first thing I thought when I first saw the game was the Incredibles with gore.

  • wow beta stuff looks awesome.

    Lol throwing Dynamite.

  • ze spyro rullz

  • ah, good. i'm glad i'm not the only one who made this connection in my head.

  • The music works so perfectly. ANd now that i think about it, yeah it DOES look Pixar-esc XD

  • i always liked that because it was like a cartoon with blood and gore and severed heads

  • electronic gaming magazine was talking about the graphics and how they look like a pixar animated film from disney .... but with gore and blood

  • lol the graphics dose a bit look like the incredibles

  • my fav was the medic :X

  • lol heavy bend over time for a prostate exam

  • This is kind of funny because since the first time I heard of TF2 it always reminded me of the Incredibles. Especially how Heavy weapons guy slightly resembles Mr.Incredible. :S

  • I love that song! The incredibles is my favorite pixar movie. :)

  • a few color and graphics were changed between when this was made and the released version.

EX: the white engy shirt, the dark soldier coat, and the medic's hair is different.

  • Also, the Scout has a shotgun now instead of the Sub-Machine gun here.

  • LOL THIS IS COOL.

  • also i bet the graphic designers from the incredibles helped valve make tf2 so therefore i hope it is true cause if it isn't then they copied

  • yea well back in the days of tfc every was original, but when tf2 came out i brought it ASAP, my first notice of the game is "WERE IS THE NADES? AND THE CONCS?" i was happy but sad at the same time but when i played it i didn't care about nades anymore cause everything of every class is even so no more annoying nades or spamming spy pills

  • Wow, the designs underwent such minor, but utterly crucial differences in making TF2 what it is now.

I see mostly that the characters got a bit more of a relaxed look along the way. More maniacal and less serious. The Medic is a prime example. From Nazi like badass to vocal, German accented mad-scientist type.

Changes were definitely for the better.

  • its good idea but...its lame cuz all u did its u took the clip from TF2 trailer and u just added "The Incredible Song"

  • That's the point. Do you see the similarities between Team Fortress 2 and the Incredibles? The animation is similar, the music is some what similar, (Domination and Revenge) and there design style are the same. This video just brings out the idea of there similarities and lets you think about it.

  • I definetly see it. You could toss the TF2 guys into the Incredibles universe and forget about it.

  • i thought it was the incredibles the first time i saw tf2 when a friend showed me

i was like "wow the heavy is just like mr. incredible!"

  • But the heavy is better.

  • cool!!

  • lol so i'm not the only one who actually thought TF2's style is similar to the incredibles'

  • my brother saw me playing and asked "why are you playing the incredibles game??" i was like..wow lol.

  • Wow, now that i look at it, it looks a lot different.

Its just more like Pixar's animation

  • What song is that?

  • its the incredibles main theme, hence the title of the video.

  • I meant specific name... but I guess there is none

  • ya... when i first saw the trailer

the art looks the same as the incredibles

    and the music xD

  • I beleve this was the 1st "official" build of tf2 XD

  • It's so funny how this game is M and it does have that incredibles look to it.

I'll never think about the Incredibles the same way again XD

  • I always thought they looked almost exactly alike.

  • woah the medic looks.......different

  • his glasses are to big

  • if they ever made an incredibles 2.....

they should definitley have these people!!!!!

  • Did anybody else make this connection immediately? The art style just fits the game and the movie for me D:

  • The Incredibles' music is similar, and the art direction is very similar to TF2's, both were influenced from 1920-1940 artists.

  • lol imagine tf2 was in a pixar movie

  • i can so imagine that, except the gore wouldn't go with it lol.

  • Yeah it would, Buzz lightyear's new Rocket Gib Action!

  • it does sorta fit.

  • cool alternate music to Team Fortress 2 :D:D:D:D:D

  • I wish you could choose between these guys and the tf2 guys we play today, like older models and weapons, so we would have more choice

  • You heard about the new weapons, right?

And what ever happend to the demo's pack of dynamite? I mean, come on. that thing looked fun to screw around with :D

  • itll probably in the next one, and maybe there will be a new type of sticky bombs, but im really waiting for the engineer pack, who knows what he'll make next?!

  • wot uve dun there is take a brilliant trailer and a great movie and recycle them into 1 mush!

  • thanks for all you comments i realy love playing on tf2 and if you eva seen me on it my name is leo767

when i first saw tf2 i fort about incredibles and how tf2 and incredibles both looked the same so after i while i jsut got the incredibles music and a video about tf2 of steam then just made this video lol

any way thanks again for all your comments

  • I played recently with you. I dominated you 3 times in a match and you had like 8 frags, after 30 mins...

  • same here, but I didn't make a video of it.

    You beat me to it.

    Still 4 Stars

  • The first time I saw Team Fortress 2, I was instantly reminded of how close the style was to the Incredibles. After a bit of research, they were both going for that era's sort of artwork.

The music goes very well with it, that's for sure.

  • also check out a game called evil genius its a superhero sims type rts is kinda crazy but the style is the same as well as the music

  • Lol it works

  • Wow that music works surprisingly well

  • The models sure changed since the beginning

  • Yeah, especially Medic, Soldier and Engineer

  • And scout. The scout didn't even have a scattergun in the beginning, he had an SMG.

  • Probably would have worked much better for him though.

  • Nah, scattergun is brutal

  • that is the issue....too much firepower for a light class

  • Not too much, scouts are easy to counter

  • lol
