Obama will never push for legal marijuana. I don't believe that for a second. Obama will throw some bones to this group and that for support and thats it. But since Obama is a socialist he has no ideals of free people, and therefore since he does not ideologically believe people should be free, he will not legalize Cannabis.

There is a difference between occasional drinking and alcoholism. That is very obvious. So there is also a difference between occasional smoking and addiction.

I personally choose not to smoke anything, I want my lungs as healthy as possible. I do drink occasionally a glass of wine or porto. Still, smoking in my face or house is something I find personally offensive. If you want to smoke anything, do it away from me. Its really just about freedom of choice.

There are lots of studies that show marijuana helps PREVENT cancer and is actually good for your lungs. You are confusing pot smoke with cigarette smoke - two very different things. Please, read the studies, and not just the gov't propaganda pieces.

There's no way that smoking weed is "good" for your lungs. I smoke everyday myself, but i admit there's no way that that's true or even documented as you say. I'm big for reform, don't get me wrong, but I've got to say that it's not true. No "smoke" is healthy for your lungs. Yes, weed is a hugely complex drug (all for the good) for the mind, social independence and determination, but it's fact that any "smoke" substance is deteriorating to the lungs. Not as bad as tobacco, but still harmful.

If you ask me, either NORML and SSDP should become one or should ally in the same fight and make their causes STRONGER. I find it silly that we have this weird dichotomy: some anti-drug war folks who only vouch for marijuana and others who wanna go all-out. I'm all for legalization for just about all illegal drugs, and the world will not end if that happens.

Because it's unnecessary, and from a strategical standpoint it's counter-productive. It's also by and large marijuana that accounts for the overwhelming majority of worthless arrests, which also lead to worthless spending of billions of dollars each year... not hard drugs. Same deal with violent drug / gang-related crime... the illegality of marijuana is the overwhelming issue, here.

Government is based on the initiation of the use of force (IUF). This is true because taxation (of all kinds) is coerced.

The U.S. "experiment" of limited government has proven to be a colossal failure.

Keeping around a group of people with the legal right to IUF leads to one group imposing its will against another, to use the gun of gov to force others to not smoke pot for example.

The root cause of most problems in society can be traced to the IUF of government.

The experiment has been a failure because we as a society have this foolish Idea that government can and will limit it self just because of what the Constitution says, when in fact an armed populace is what is supposed to limit government, and in my opinion that is the very purpose of the second amendment. if people remember that it is citizens that the power belongs to and not the government then our experiment can be salvaged.

I believe a limited government to be a necessary evil I believe in an ethical philosophy called moral hierarchy, an example of this would be lying to prevent a murder, under most cases lying is unethical, but the greater good of preventing the murder trumps the evil of lying and there for it would be right to lie. so I believe that a limited government that is restrained by an armed populace to trump the greater evil of anarchy and therefore is an unfortunate necessity,

no you do not, this is why the right to bare arms is so important, every man has a right to defend himself and his property and the means to do so. government should only do 3 things, protect against outside force via the military, protect against domestic force via police and to adjudicate disputes via the court system. don't misunderstand me, I have no love of government and I wish we lived in a world where we needed no government but we do not.

You DO believe that. Because you cannot enforce a taxation system to pay for your limited government unless you also support forcing people to pay for it. By violence if necessary.
