I think what you call Super Glue is really Zap A Gap. Zap A Gap dries really fast and strong. I had some years ago. Zap A Gap is so quick to stick It makes Super Glue seem like sugar water that takes forever to dry and stick.
Craft foam can be found at any hobby lobby or craft store and even at walmart. Just cut the foam bigger then you need it and trim it back after you glue it together.
I used a #1 or #2 worm hook but the fly can be scaled up or down to match the hatch. I use just about any type and brand of hook I'm not real particular about any components other then thread. I like strong thread.
Thanks, I've got several of these fly tying videos on my channel. Check out the dragonfly I tie it really neat..

@wishihadalife90 any #1 or #2 worm hook will do but the hook gap is important too!

I've never used Zap-a-Gap but know many tyers that do. I use the cheapest superglue I can find.

The Super Glue I used would not work with the craft foam. I tried also GOOP but had to clip it shut with paper clips until it dries.

@cdgarrett1 That's strange! Super glue always works for me almost too good sometimes.. Is the foam you are using coated with something?

Another great fly. What are the dimensions of your foam? Tried this today and mine is okay but not near yours.
